About this property

This two-bedroom, one-bathroom log cabin on Elk Lake is a perfect small family or couple vacation spot. The location off a quiet road in Williamsburg is wonderful. Enjoy the sparkling blue, hard sandy bottom water of this all-sports lake. The main space in the home is a living room and dining area.

Outside there is a cute little porch that is perfect for morning coffee and watching the sun come up. Talk about relaxing! The yard is spacious enough for kids to play and to walk the dog too. The main road to this house is pleasant to walk or ride your bike on. There is also a dock and fire pit.

The house is near the Great Lakes Equestrian Horse Show, Turtle Creek Casino and Elk Rapids. It’s an easy trip to Traverse City.

A Stay in the Cabin on Elk Lake

The view of the lake was so relaxing. The Cabin is definitely old. But it could have been cleaner. There were spider webs inside by the fireplace, dust and dirt under the furniture. And on the small porch the table and chairs were dirty as was the grill. Also when the 1st person would take a shower they ran out of hot water so the next person had to wait for it to regenerate. But we stayed there to be right on the lake and it was only for 3 nights so we managed. The land was great just the cabin needs updated.

Small, expensive

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bait and switch pricing. For the poor condition of the cabin the price was way too high. Wonky floors causing tripping and the smallest water heater known to man. Could use a dresser as there is almost zero storage. Closet storage is taken up by a fold out bed and a vacuum. Large private lot with a nice view, though. Beautiful sun rises.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our time at the rental cabin we had great weather and the lake was amazing. However the cabin was pretty dirty we even found mice nest we took pictures of and can send you them if you’d like. I was just about to post a review but wanted to inform you of these problems and see if there was anything you could do for me before since the group avoided being inside not knowing how clean it actually is.
