Excellent breakfast cooked by our host. So much choice. Even threw in a cheese tasting experience the night before. Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. Amazing sunset. Worth a visit.
Fantastic place, we enjoyed our stay. It is very quiet and peaceful, exactly what we wanted. Our host is very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I recommend to anyone who just wants to escape to the country for a few days.
Was a lovely weekend with a great host. Barrie was very welcoming and provided a great experience while we were there. From the delicious breakfast to the garden and surrounding farm experience. Recommended
Was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. Our host Barrie was very welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed .
Breakfast was lovely and well presented.
I would highly recommend and definitely good value for money
Natures paradise, a great place to relax and enjoy beautiful scenery. Barrie the host delivered over and above expectations with his humor, informative conversation & complementary cheese tasting expertise. Thoroughly enjoyed this space, nothing was too much trouble and our gourmet breakfast was superb.
Comfortable and stylish accommodation in stunning natural surrounds. Barrie is an extremely hospitable and engaging host. The breakfasts are scrumptious and my partner was thrilled in getting to feed the cows! Highly recommend.
A lovely overnight experience with a friendly host where nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend for a stay to refresh and experience something a little different. We were very grateful for all of the effort the host put in to show us around and for the cheese tasting. The breakfast was awesome also.
Country hospitality at it's best in a beautiful, peaceful location
Barrie was a great host. We enjoyed the delicious breaky, evening drink, feeding the goats, tour of his property, cheese tasting, watching birdlife and wild life and good chats. Great experience and good value.
My wife and I were looking for a nature getaway where we could relax and enjoy some time together. Barry's property is beautiful and you can tell a lot of thought and consideration has gone into everything provided to the guests. Breakfast was delicious and Barry is an extremely helpful and considerate host. We really enjoyed our stay at Highroost
Set a small distance from townships, this locality seems remote, quiet, set in the hills on acres. Barrie the landlord is extremely welcoming, friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. He serves a gourmet home made breakfast with freshly picked ingredients. We fed the cows and had a tour of the farm before we left. Great getaway from the city
Although we didnt get to spend as much time at the property as we would of liked due to an event we had to attend, the place was just magical. Barrie was a great host and was very welcoming from the moment we got there!
Also cooks a mean breakie! Would definitely like to return with more relax time to enjoy what the property truley has to offer :)
A wonderful stay, great property, great views, but not just a night away. Barry your host makes you feel welcome and shows you and array of different experiences throughout your stay. We had a great time with many unexpected little extras that made this far more than just a night away.
I just want to say Thankyou to Barrie for being a wonderful host. It was my very first experience of going to a bed and breakfast and I loved every moment. The property is so earthy and has so much character with all the stone/rock and all the wild life. Very relaxing.
The accommodation is perfect if you’re looking for a rural, country getaway vibe. Especially if you’re looking for something off-road and secluded. The scenery from the room is stunning and perfect for a relaxing time. The shared living space is beautiful and the garden space is amazing to roam around. Breakfast was incredible! And I loved the sheep 🐑
Barrie is a great host, very accommodating, and easy to converse with.
The property is an ideal getaway for city-dwellers. It is a fairly short drive from Adelaide yet feels secluded enough to feel like a break. The accomodation has very nice views, is clean and stays warm in the winter. The host is very attentive and generous - if you are looking for a more involved experience with your host then you will enjoy this stay. The only thing to bear in mind is that the road in might be a little tricky for some of the smaller 2WD cars out there.
