Quick pleasant stay but will come again!

We have family in Wallingford and got tired of local hotels. Thought we’d try a home rental. Beds were comfortable. Made breakfasts in morning and enjoyed the mill river behind the house. Beautiful property.

Just Okay, No Fireplace!

The house was very nice. It's very nice to be able to bring your dogs with you on vacation. The thing is, some things in this house did not work. The TV's weren't functioning unless it was a kids show/movie. The fireplace is non-functional (very upset about this). The jets in the shower were non-functional. Even the chairs at the kitchen table were broken...The other weird thing was there was one pan and one pot for cooking in the entire kitchen. We made do by washing them a bunch of times, but I made a meal in the kitchen and only had one pot and one pan. It was very difficult. The house itself has great potential and we had ourselves a great time. Evolve apparently did not tell the homeowner we changed the date to arrive one day earlier so when we arrived, the house was not clean and all the linens were on the floor from the people before us. But they came over and cleaned right away. Evolve apparently isn't functioning properly either.

8/10 Good

Dog friendly

The house was very dog friendly and that was awesome. There were things that didn’t work that were a bit annoying (never got the tv in the master bedroom to play anything, the hot tub never warmed up to a useable temperature and you couldn’t use the wood stove). The heat was very confusing and we sweated our butts off until we found a thermostat that was set to 91 ( there are 3). I also wish there was a TV in the main living area since the Olympics were on. But that is just a personal preference. I also would have liked extra towels But the place was located at a good location

Very Comfortable Place with Vermont Charm

Overall, we had a great time spending a holiday weekend here. We were a group of 4 and used the house as a base to ski @ Killington and Pico. The upstairs room with an open kitchen/LR/DR was very comfortable and bathrooms, bedrooms exactly as advertised. Highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
