Wonderful!
So beautiful, so relaxing. Charming place in a wonderful location walking distance to the lighthouse. Abundant wildlife and gorgeous views! There is a often an audible foghorn, which we personally loved, but a possible consideration for exceptionally light sleepers or those sensitive to noise. Plan to visit again!

Ocean VIiew
This cottage is great, well designed and decorated, very comfortable. It offers great views of the ocean and an easy drive to any hiking trails, which we enjoy. The lighthouse nearby is an added bonus, just a short stroll over the causeway to get to. A fantastic place to watch the ferry and the setting sun!

Week in L'Etete
Lovely hosts in a charming renovated boathouse. With bathroom on main floor and beautiful loft bedrooms on second floor, those we with mobility issues might wish to discuss with host, who is exceptionally gracious and helpful.

As a retired nurse from Nova Scotia, I'm a parent to three children, a grandparent to three boys, and a caregiver to two cats and a dog. My husband, a retired biologist and professor, spent our retirement years renovating an 1863 fisherman's cottage. At our daughter's suggestion, we converted the old boathouse into a cozy short-term rental

Why they chose this property

Green's Point Light Station stands as a maritime gem, rich in history and resilience against nature's fiercest elements. It serves as a haven for diverse wildlife, amidst unpredictable weather patterns, the Bay of Fundy high tides fosters an intimate connection with the raw beauty of nature.

Growing up with family ties to the sea, I harbored a childhood dream of coastal living, immersed in the rhythm of the tides, the spectacle of storms, and the serenity of sunsets. The haunting cries of seagulls, the annual migration of birds and whales, and the occasional visits from deer and other wild creatures were all part of the enchanting tapestry of life by the ocean.

What makes this property unique

Nestled by the iconic Green's Point Lighthouse, our home is surrounded by untamed coastlines, teeming wildlife, and the rhythmic dance of the Bay of Fundy tides. Our lovingly restored 'Boathouse' now serves as a bright and inviting guest cottage, blending modern comforts with vintage charm.

Situated in an ideal location, The Boathouse provides a launchpad for countless memorable day trips. Explore nearby New Brunswick cities, towns, and harbors, or venture across the border to Maine, USA at St. Stephen. The quaint town of Saint Andrews by the Sea beckons with its rich history and connections to luminaries like Lord Beaverbrook and Sir William Van Horne, while nearby islands offer intriguing excursions, from Deer Island to Campobello, where President Roosevelt's summer retreat awaits. Ten minutes away is the charming working-class town of Saint George, where the fishing industry is the primary employer. Supplies, seafood, and laundry services are readily available there.

After your adventures, unwind on the deck and soak in the breathtaking views, a perfect end to a day filled with exploration and discovery.
