The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Garbage/Recycling must leave the premises with you and sorted/disposed of in clear plastic bags. Otherwise, a disposal fee of $150.00 will apply.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Take all garbage/recycling with you in clear bags. If left behind or unsorted, a $150 disposal fee will apply.
No excessive noise (loud voices/music). Music off by 11:00 PM; fires must be out by 12:00 AM.
Keep indoor and outdoor areas clean during your stay and at departure, or extra cleaning fees may apply. Raft not for use.

This cottage is on a lovely quiet bay and it was perfect for our family. 4 adults and two grandchildren, aged 8 and 2. The kids were thrilled with the catching ( and releasing) small fish and the bay was perfect for all ages kayaking. The cottage kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The host was responsive to all our questions so all in all a lovely vacation spot at the end of the summer.

If you are looking for a cottage to recharge your batteries, this is the one! Coffees on the dock in the morning, drinks on the deck in the evening as the sun sets and the loons dive for their dinner, this is the quintessential Canadian cottage. Spotless with all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay, this cottage has it all. The hosts were readily available to answer any questions, the neighbors were warm and welcoming making this a memory we will treasure. We will definitely return.

If you love the sun and killer sunsets then this is the place for you. West facing and unobstructed tanning all day. The cottage has everything you need, but be sure to bring blankets along with your linens. The water is warm and shallow for a ways which makes swimming easy but can be a bit reedy at times, not a big deal for us. Jen was very responsive for all concerns. You are close to other cottages, but everyone was very nice and respectful and we had no issues. Great value for how close the cottage is to the water.

Lovely stay

Perfect location close to Havelock. Water is warm and close - great for kids swimming. Lots of wildlife and a mama and baby loon who visited us a lot. The host is wonderful and the cottage is comfortable and cosy.

The cottage was exactly as described in the description in Vrbo. We loved being right on the bay, the swimming was awesome, beautiful sunsets with excellent bedrooms as two of them are on corners, with windows on each side. Feeling the breeze at night and hearing the loons in the distance, what more can you ask for. The inside of the cottage is very nice as we loved all the wood throughout. Having cable television would have made this cottage a 10 out of 10 for sure. Thank you to Jennifer who responded quickly to a few small issues. We also enjoyed talking with our neighbor next door. He made us feel welcome and offered his assistance if we needed anything. All in all, a super one week in Havelock! Thank you!

Very nicely decorated spacious luxurious accommodations. Very well furnished. In late August the lake was quite weedy fairly far out. There was also a rat in the main floor bathroom, though it kept mostly to itself.

Jen’s place was perfect! Great amount of space for 3 friends. Very clean with a well stocked kitchen. The Dock was lovely and private and the fire pit has a beautiful view of the lake. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful getaway property!

This cottage was so cozy and comfortable. It's nice to have the extra bathroom and the beds were very comfortable. The fireplace pilot had gone out but a quick call to the owners who talked us through relighting it and we were enjoying the fire. Great place to get away from the city lights!

Great escape

I had a wonderful experience here. The place is nicer than it looked in the ad, was in a very quiet location, but still only 15 min to town, and had everything you need to just unplug and relax. I will definitely come back here.
