Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The host did not show up. He did not provide any information to us before the check-in. Period. We were very concern and have asked Expedia to help. Expedia sent us to Vrbo. Vrbo agent #1 told us to keep trying the day before check-in. Agent #2 told us to just go to the property to try our luck. Denied to help us find alternative. We must go there to find out. We arrived at the property. No help there. Called multiple times to get to an agent. We waited for 2 hours just to get someone to help us on the phone. She was nice and booked us to a temporary hotel for 2 night. Told us to keep contacting the host despite he did not show up on day 1. On the 3rd day, still no reply from the host, and we must checkout from the temporary hotel. Vrbo agent said she cannot book us for additional nights anymore, that we are on our own to find our own lodging. No one call us. Just an email. Spoke to other agents, Waited for total of 4 hours combined. No help. We are on our own. I shall see if Vrbo or Expedia hold up to their guarantee to compensate my inconvenience. For a family of 5 with children, this is a disaster. Expedia and Vrbo are terrible to deal with.
