Well equipped kitchen.The overall feel of the property was a bit unloved. Plants were dying( removed dead leaves and watered) Table cloth quite grubby. Good location for what we needed.
A great little 2 bed apartment in a great location! We stayed with our in laws and toddler and it was a good size for all of us. The host kindly provided a portacot and highchair too. It was a flat easy walk to pubs, cafes, shops, Palais Theatre and the beach, a perfect location. Would happily stay again.
We rented this property for my parents recent visit to Melbourne. It met their requirements perfectly being close to family with easy access to the city & local amenities. Neat, tidy & very comfortable.
Handy to Melbourne airport but far enough away to be quiet & near the coast. Holly was a very helpful host with good communication. The place was everything we needed for our stay. Carpark would be a bit tight if you had a bigger sized car. Would recommend.
Great location. Parking was available but a little difficult if you had a larger car as space was tight. Property was older but had everything we needed for a week. No outdoor space so couldn’t sit outside. Would have liked a welcome pack so we needn’t have gone out to search for milk etc on arrival.
Good spot for us with elderly parents. Comfy beds. Was quiet even though we were in middle of flats. No particularly well equipped kitchen. Old pans, not enough forks and no standard things like oil to cook with but that’s just a small thing. We managed 🙂
The apartment had all the things we needed- including washer/dryer. It was comfortable. If you plan to take public transport to get around, then pick up a pass before heading to the apartment- there are no close places to purchase them, although the trains and buses are very close and easy to use.

The room itself was excellent. Just small things like would be ideal to have split systems in each of the bedrooms. Vertical blind in kitchen were abit dusty. But overall it was satisfactory.
This apartment was ideally situation for my friend and me. We had a week in Melbourne with our main focus being the Australian Open. It served our needs perfectly. Transportation was so accessible (spoiled for choices… tram, train or bus). The area, Elwood was quiet, treed and close to amenities. All perfect. The unit was spacious and clean. The only concern we had was regulating the water
in the shower. Tap ware is old and probably needs replacing.
Overall, we had an excellent stay, would recommend the accommodation and would be happy to stay again when in Melbourne.

The Poet's Retreat is a delightful place to stay--well located, well appointed and clean, and has a very pleasant feeling. There is a kindergarten next door, and the sounds of the children playing is very sweet!
