This was the perfect house for our girls getaway! We loved how close it was to the water, the deck right above the water, and the dock for swimming and fishing. Quiet neighborhood, we had a very relaxing stay!

Nice place overall. Beautiful location on Lake of the Ozarks. We took our dog and had access to a boat slip too. Owners were very communicative and the description on line was exactly what we got.

Little cottage with a steep driveway

Cute cottage but needing some repairs. The driveway is very steep, we pulled down the first day and had to use 4 wheel drive to get back up so we parked up above in the provided space after that. Overall we had a good time.

Check in was flawless. The owners live on site in the house next door. Beware of the driveway- it’s scary but you have to be confident going down/up. It was good for what it was for us. There were a few bumps along the way. A little cramped, the bathroom is tiny and the bed is rough on the back. Our one dog enjoyed her time swimming, couldn’t keep her out of the water. The Lilly pad was a nice touch once we figured out how to use it. The upper deck gives beautiful views and is a nice sunning/sitting area. The dock we mainly used at night for catfishing- took the owners recommendations and used diced chicken breast, cherry kool-aid and garlic…works like a charm.

While my clients were able to relax, there were definitely a few concerns. Apparently the marina is shut down and there’s only a bar. They had to drive up to 30 mins to Warsaw, just to actually get in the water. Because the property is sitting on the water, you would expect/want to be able to get in the water and do activities. It also would have been very helpful to have that noted on the information when booking, which it wasn’t and that was disappointing. All in all, it was an okay time, but there was so much room for improvement.

If you have a dog stay. If the presence of dog hair and a chase blanket that smells of dog bothers you, don't. We don't have any pets and my wife was not thrilled. But I might be back with fishing buddies.

Beautiful (but cold!)

Loved the view. The cabin was rustic, which I expected. The only issue I had was the temp outside got down in the 20s. There was a wood burning stove, but no fuel. I had to wear my coat inside the whole time.

Heavenly getaway

This cottage is exactly as it says it is online! Great location for the the road less travelled; yet close to amenities by land and water. It was wicked hot while we were there yet the cottage stayed nice and cool! The host happened to be in the big house a few days while we were there and helped us out immensely w/a boat launch issue that was ours - a skittish wife who didn’t want to pull a boat trailer up and down the hilly roads. We saw the sun rise each morning and we fished and took boat rides, played on the lily pad, watched skiers and boaters. We fished and saw a crane fight and became friends with the nice people at Crazy Roy’s cafe and bar! Met Roy himself, he’s a hoot! We’ll be back next year!

Short, Quiet getaway

It was so nice to be on the water for a few days. It is a little cramped, but we weren't in the house much. My husband wanted to watch the basketball final on TV and was in contact with the owner when we didn't have TV or WIFI access. That was never resolved. Be ready for the driveway!!! We are PROs NOW! We were under the impression the driveway was steep (as they usually are with these homes on the lake)- we know this and if we didn't feel comfortable driving down it, we could stay at the top. Its steep folks! Anyway, the house serves its purpos and we were very appreciative!

Rundown and dirty

This property was not cleaned before our arrival. Floor was gritty. Bathroom needed a complete cleaning. Dead bugs and hair from previous guests were in the shower, sink, and on the toilet. Outlet in kitchen for microwave and other small appliances did not work. AC was only in the bedroom and dripped down the wall so the sheets (which were dirty) were damp. Property pictures do not reflect how small the property actually is. Area around the house was steep and had no water access. Trash barrel was full of trash. Decking needs screwed down in areas.
