Very comfortable especially with three bathrooms. Might want to check on the dishwasher as it leaked one night due to a blockage of pumpkin seeds. Bottom tray is quite difficult to slide in and out.
Excellent fishing. Thank you.
We really enjoyed our stay! Everything was as listed no surprises, and great communication. Just be prepared it is a hike up and down to the water. But the fishing was great. We brought kayaks and used them along with the peddle boats. Very quite place we basically had the river to ourselves. Only thing needed are some fans for the other two bedrooms upstairs.
The hosts are amazing, generous and quick to respond. The property and cottage was very well planned out and the whole process was seamless. Would definitely stay here again!
We were there for a family reunion during the winter break. Nice waterfront location with a wonderful quiet bay views by the ottawa river, looks more like a lake. The cottage is basic but had everything we needed. There were some toys and books for the kids. We enjoyed the indoor wood stove in the basement and the outdoor firepit. Nan was a very friendly and responsive host with suggestions and answers to our questions. He and his family helped shovel and push our car after it got stuck in the snow during the holidays. We would recommend using a 4 wheel drive vehicle if you plan to visit this cottage during winter due to the steep driveway. Pembroke is 20 min away for all needs with restaurants and a large grocery store. We went ice skating there and drove about 1 hr to Calabogie ski resort as Mont Chilly was not open for the season yet. Overall it was a nice vacation. I imagine it is even better in the summer and the fall!
We celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. It was everything that was pictured but better. We had a fire outside in fire pit with 10 of us and a dog. We cosied the following night in downstairs with stove. Lots of room. Beautiful area to explore. We will book again. Thanks Nan
