We only allow dogs in our pet friendly rooms. One dog is free, but the second is an additional $25 one time. Please let us know if you are bringing a second dog.

The old motor lodge re-invented! We recently took two hotel rooms and combined into one nice kitchenette suite. All new bathrooms, kitchens, doors, windows, lock system and furniture. Still has the old radiators and wall mounted AC units that we just couldn't find a way around, but they work great! An excellent base camp to enjoy the Black Hills and Badlands. Owners are avid hikers and mountain bikers who have lived in the area their entire lives. Happy to help get you pointed in the right direction.

The Sojourn Vacation Rentals and Flats offers modern, fully furnished flats in Rapid City, SD. Rooms include a kitchen with a full refrigerator, microwave, cooktop and dishwasher. They also include a living space and private bedroom. There is a patio available for guest’s relaxation and enjoyment.

The Sojourn is conveniently located for travelers looking to visit Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Sturgis, and more. This property is nonsmoking.

The kitchenettes are perfect for the vacationer or longer term out of town employee who needs some local housing. Located on Mt. Rushmore Road. 1.5 miles to downtown Rapid City, 26 miles to Mt. Rushmore. Local hiking and biking trail heads as close as .5 miles from property. Great selection of restaurants and stores in walking distance. .75 miles from Rapid City Regional Hospital.

We use the KeyCafe automated check in system so you can arrive any time after 3pm.  The booking code and instructions will be sent via txt and email on the day of arrival.  Of course, we are happy to assist!  If we aren't on the property when you arrive, we are nearby.

It was great to be able to relax here after a long day enjoying the sights. Kitchen was great to have for a quick breakfast or late night snack. Bed was comfy also! We'd def stay again, and it was a more reasonable price than hotel rooms we checked on.

Great stay

If you are visiting Rapid City or planning a vacation to the Black Hills area, this place is well located with many area attractions and monuments within a drive of 45 minute drive or (usually) less. The rooms are more than adequate. The only concern I noticed was that nearly all kitchen ware needed a good cleaning before use and some of the plates, bowls and coffee cups were worn and had chipping. Otherwise, you have everything you need to eat in or warm up leftovers from eating out.

perfect weekend

Our apartment was nice with everything what we needed. We were happy about the kitchen so we can prepare and eat breakfast before hiking and took lunch with us also. Went to Sylvan Lake (Black Elk Peak) and Pactola Lake. Beautiful! Went to Rapid City downtown for dinner, for ice cream. The beautiful cathedral was like across the street for mass on Sunday. What an amazing weekend we had!
