We loved this home. The location is excellent--close to areas like Easton and St Michael's, but out of the way and secluded. We loved sitting on the lawn by the Dixon Creek and watching the sunset. House is well stocked, and wifi is strong--supported 3 people who had to work. Highly recommend this beautiful home.
The home and location exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully furnished but cozy, with a well-stocked kitchen. Our only issue was with the responsiveness of the management company, Eastern Shore Vacation Rentals, which presumably is not limited to this property. We contacted the owners directly afterwards to provide feedback and understand that they have already taken steps to insure that snow and ice are removed from the driveway in the future. ESVR also corrected the property description to remove mention of the currently unavailable fireplace. We look forward to returning.
Private and quiet but very close to Easton and St Michels. Just the two of us (70 years old) and we liked it a lot. Can imagine it would be wonderful for a family of energetic kids.
We just returned home from our 8-night stay at this property and enjoyed it tremendously throughout. The setting is beautiful, with seats at the pier for when we preferred a waterside view and just next to the house (close to the wine chiller) for watching the sunsets. Very spacious, well-decorated, comfortable, very well-stocked kitchen which made meals a breeze. We enjoyed it thoroughly (as did our two cockers!) and will look it up again if we're ever heading back to the Eastern Shore.
This is the ideal place for an Eastern Shore stay. The location along the creek is gorgeous, private, and quiet, yet you are close to town. The house has multiple seating areas, inside and out, all with views of the water. Extremely clean esp for a pet-friendly home. Lots of extra nice touches. The rental office communication was professional and very responsive.
Great location near Easton and on the creek with a small pier. The house is great with an older farmhouse vibe, but with all the modern appliances. Our grandkids enjoyed the large yard, the pier for fishing (catch and release) and the many board games. Had family over for a couple of dinners and there was room enough for everyone.
We throughly enjoyed our stay at Seventh Haven - the house is perfect and well equipped, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet as well as the beautiful views. We would love to come back here!!
We love Easton, MD and were coming home for Thanksgiving to visit family in town. This was a dream location because it’s located very close to downtown Easton but also feels like you’re 1,000,000 miles away. It’s very friendly for kids and pets and morning yoga on the dock. The sunsets are gorgeous and the trees are over 300 years old. We are so thankful you shared your home with our family and would love to visit again in the future.
My husband, and son and his wife and baby joined me for a peaceful week in an area I love. I spent my summers at my grandparents’ on the Miles River near by and my first child was born in Easton. The town is thriving yet the old quiet charm is there too. We loved Seventh Haven. Very comfortable, w fully equipped, lovely setting. Kayaking was wonderful!
Incredible property outside, great house, extremely well stocked, a sure winner!
The grounds are incredibly gorgeous, huge trees, the largest being easily 6 feet thick, all very well maintained. We took the kayaks out on the creek, sat in the Adirondacks and looked at the bay, walked the grounds in awe, and spent time in the air conditioned living room and enjoyed almost the same view as you see outside via the wall of windows. The kitchen and pantry had everything we'd need to prepare a meal, appliances all worked great including the air fryer, bathrooms had toiletries and towels in plenty. Dining room was large enough for 6 people to spread out and play board games and eat. Of course there is St Michaels nearby providing loads of little shops and restaurants, and if you need anything at all the town of Easton in the other direction has all the big stores you're used to seeing at home. The property is very far off the main road, very private, but everything you need is 10 minutes away. Could not have asked for more!
The century-old oak trees framed a unique and inviting home. The interior has been updated with the most modern appliances and furnishings while retaining a comfortable and rustic ambiance. The entire first floor is open from the kitchen, through the dining and sitting room, to the window-wall that overlooks Dixon Creek. A sunroom off to the side adds to the options for entertaining and relaxing. The 3 upstairs bedrooms are well appointed and the bed in the master suite is the most comfortable we have ever experienced! However, we spent most of our time outside, sitting in the Adirondack chairs under the shade of the towering oaks and taking in the ever-changing scenery of this quiet waterway leading to the Tred Avon. We also went out on the water several times in the kayaks and explored both branches of Dixon Creek. We saw lots of wildlife, including two soaring eagles. Egrets were nesting just across the creek from Seventh Haven and mom and dad egret were both busy diving for fish to feed their noisy offspring. We set the crab traps off the end of the dock and caught enough to prepare our favorite crab dip recipe for later in the week. Oh - and be on the lookout for the black squirrel that likes to hang out in the giant oak by the sunporch -- we understand that it's a one in ten thousand opportunity!
The house is large, bright and beautiful with beautiful views of the water and every amenity you could want. Responses from the rental agent were prompt and helpful.
We spent 4 days here with family that we don't get to spend time with often - the living areas were perfect for hanging out, chatting, and enjoying the view... And the kitchen was so well equipped! We have other family in the area and had them over for dinner - the dining and living space were just perfect! There was an important Tennis match on and we could get it on the big TV - so much fun!
We loved the kayaks - Dixon Creek is a beautiful place for a nice paddle. The dock has steps and a ladder so water access is easy.
Bedrooms were all beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
Location is in Easton (perfect for us), but St. Michael's is only a short drive away. This house is a class act and we hope to come back soon. :-)
We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Seventh Haven. The house was spacious, comfortable, clean and set back far from the main road. It was close to shopping and to town which was just lovely. We enjoyed the kayaks, canoe and paddle boards at the property and the views from the dock are spectacular. The rental management company was responsive and courteous. We would return in a minute!
