Elizabethtown
Property was very nice. Great location to nearby entertainment. Only issue I had was the proximity to the train line that ran through every night.

Nice Historic Home in Downtown Elizabethtown
Elizabethtown was a great place to stay for us during our spring break vacation. Lucy's place was comfortable and combined antique decorative style in an historic home with modern conveniences. We had everything we needed at the house, and several local attractions within walking distance including the Hardin County History Museum, the Brown-Pusey House, the Kentucky High School Basket Hall of Fame Museum, and several local restaurants, and a coffee shop. The location is right downtown near a roundabout on main street so there is some street noise in the house as well as noise from the trains that run through town, but that wasn't too big of a deal for us. We were able to visit the Louisville Slugger Museum, the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs, Mammoth Cave National Park, Abraham Lincoln's Birthplace Museum, Abraham Lincoln's Boyhood Home (separate from the Birthplace Museum). All of these were within an hour from the home. Some much closer! There are two and a half baths in the house, and there is a washer and dryer set in a closet in the downstairs bathroom. When we were there the hot and cold water were switched on the washer. Hot and cold water were also switched in the sink in the upstairs bathroom. The manager said she would address those issues for future residents, but be aware if you are getting ready to do a load of laundry on delicate/cold. We stayed in April, so we didn't need the air conditioning too much, but the upstairs (where the bedrooms are) definitely gets warmer than the downstairs. I think there is a separate air conditioner that can be hooked up for the upstairs during the summer, but we didn't need it during our stay. Overall, a great place to stay!

Needs attention
Property was fair. Old house with all the expected "quaintness" of such. Property seemed very well cared for. Unfortunately the a/c was not functioning properly. Daytime weather was 89 degrees and nighttime weather got down to 62 degrees. With air turned down to 68 degrees the temperature in the house stayed at 78 degrees until just before dawn when it managed to get down to 74 degrees. Fans in the house were poorly placed or non-functional. Discontinued our 2-night- stay after first night because it was near impossible to sleep in the near-80 degree house.

Great location, property needs attention.
Family stayed here for a few days while visiting E-town. History behind the house is great, location is central, and a short walk to downtown. All in all the house was fine and suited our needs. Nothing was horribly wrong or too off putting. However, the house needs a thorough cleaning, it just felt dingy with dust everywhere. Ants seemed to be a problem inside the house, and perhaps not a new problem as my toddler brought me ant traps she picked up from somewhere. The outdoor space is poorly utilized in this home. The yard was full of weeds, overgrown plants and shrubs, mulch everywhere, and broken garden tiles that my son was picking up. The fire pit area is a nice touch, but also needs to be swept or blown off to really enjoy. The fire pit itself is unstable and leaning over, so we did not use it. The patio furniture needs New pads or to be replaced all together. The front porch was nice and we enjoyed the porch swing. This rental could be so much better if the management company gave it a little more attention and love.
