We stayed for almost a week and "worked from home" and it was an enjoyable time. The location to the lake and the wildlife we saw was great. The owners were responsive to texts when we had a question. We would definitely stay again!
We had a great time staying here and Kelly and her family were very welcoming! It was the perfect location for our boating and fishing vacation. We weren't able to leave our boat at the dock but the boat ramp is right across the street!
Kelly and family are warm and welcoming hosts. House is super clean and comfy. Our favorite was all the time we got to spend fishing on the dock and enjoying the lake. Was a wonderful little getaway.

Nice getaway
We stayed for a family reunion. The owner was very pleasant and receptive and let us have our space unless we needed something from her. The home is older but clean and well kept and right on the water. We had a very nice stay there and would do it again.
we just love the place!! right on the shore of Lake Champlain, with all the amenities that anybody could wish for and excellent and peaceful location the islands as well as tons of fishing places. The owners that live next by helped us a lot during our stay and provided anything we asked for. If you're looking for a place to relax this is the spot.

Serene Lake Getaway with Room for improvement
Beautiful lake location, but disappointingly dusty with spider webs and cockroaches. The owner, Kelly, was responsive. However, we found old children's clothes in a drawer, suggesting poor housekeeping. Attention to cleanliness and pest control is needed for a more enjoyable stay.

in general good place to stay
The good- arrival/checkin was easy. Owners/neighbors were there, have kids etc- were very nice. Nice location on the water with yard. Dogs able to play and have a good time. Small towns within 15-20min and was able to go explore, small store within 5 min drive open limited hours but has the basics.
The ok- if you want to go somewhere to be secluded/alone etc this may not be it as since duplex owners were there most of weekend, first night had people over outside using back yard, chairs, firepit etc so wasn't necessarily private if you wanted to be out there. Place is a bit dated, stairs to go upstairs are narrow, old so use caution and AC upstairs had bucket of water that needed to be dumped when full (2-3 times a day when we were there).
the negatives- the water smell was HORRIBLE! not sure if this was due to recent rain storms but it was almost unbearable- we considered leaving the first night. There was an odor in living room couch of B.O. that was so bad I bought febreeze to use and sprayed it several times a day until bearable and then left the spray for others to use.
I'm not saying any of this to try and be negative I just want to be truthful in the review so that other people will know what to expect.
Places very nice big yard right on the water. The boats were kind of dirty so we didn’t use them but the water was good we brought our dogs they loved it. Very peaceful setting out on the big yard. Period house was older but well-kept. Only complaint inside was the running water had a foul smell to it so I certainly wouldn’t drink it
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. It was cozy and quiet. I recommand it to relax and have a good time with your family. The owners are really nice people 😊
