Sugar Shores ~ 3 Mi to Indiana Dunes Nat'l Park

Hello! Thank you for your kind review! I am very happy to hear you enjoyed our home and garden! A lot of hard work and love went into it all. I am delighted you enjoyed the European market! We also love walking downtown to visit the market when we vacation in the Duneland area. I love how the sidewalk from Sugar Shores to the market is perfectly shaded with beautiful mature trees. How wonderful you all are already talking about visiting again! I hope we will see you all next year!

We're so glad your family enjoyed our home and garden! I’m glad you also found the property history interesting and that it added something special to your stay. We love the Duneland area with all the great parks and restaurants. I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed it too. We work hard to keep communication easy and the home clean and comfortable, so hearing that come through is wonderful. Thank you for the kind words!

Thank you for your review. Your feedback is helpful. We replaced the shower curtain with a plastic one to avoid mildew in the future. We are sorry our team overlooked that small detail when preparing the bathroom. We apologize again that you had a tricky check-in! We will work with our property team to make sure those check-in instructions are clearer so future guests won’t have the same issue. We are glad you still had an overall positive experience. Best to you and your family.

Hi Regin, we followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: Our goal is to ensure that our guests have an exceptional stay with us and provide high standards of hospitality. We are sorry to hear that you did not have the five-star experience we endeavor to provide our guests. - Our family-friendly house features a range of amenities, including entertainment options like foosball, table tennis, and a TV. We offer toys, books, and board games for all ages in the family room. For younger guests, there are kid dishes, a pack-n-play, and baby monitors available. Outside, enjoy a badminton net, rackets, and bocce ball. Decorations are placed out of reach for toddlers' safety. - In regards to the stairs, the loft and basement are accessible through stairs, clearly visible in the pictures. Both sets of stairs are equipped with a pocket door at the top for closure. However, it's important to note that the stair design does not allow for the installation of baby gates at the bottom of the stairs. - As we value the condition of the property, we can confirm that the pathways are made with different materials, including gravel, mulch, brick, and pebbles. The backyard underwent landscaping changes a week before your stay, and we informed you about these modifications. Although the grassy area for badminton remains open, we kindly asked you to stay on the designated path while the newly seeded area establishes itself. We want our guests to have what they need during their stay. There is a hairdryer available in the master bathroom and we will purchase one more for the main floor as well. - We aim for transparency and our listing and photos are accurately advertised. Guests can enjoy a single television and a variety of amenities, all within a tranquil atmosphere. We truly do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

From the owner: "Thank you for your review. Our cleanliness is essential to us, and our precautionary winter sticky traps should have been removed before your arrival. The traps collect beetles and other critters that could enter this old house during the winter - luckily, no roaches! In addition to the emergency response, cleaning, and disinfecting you witnessed, we have addressed the issue with our cleaning team and will ensure a better experience for future guests."
