About the home

"Castlebay" is a stunning home with delightful views over rural farmland and beyond to Westernport Bay. Please note this home is not pet friendly. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

The long central hallway leads from the entrance of the home and provides access to bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 (all with BIR), the main bathroom (with bath & shower), separate toilet, internal entrance to the double garage, a side covered deck and laundry. At the end of the hallway are four steps leading up to the rear open plan kitchen / dining / living room (with coonara style wood heater, smart TV & Sonos sound system plus many games & toys for kids) with an amazing rural outlook, and provides access to the rear covered balcony. The main bedroom has a smart TV, walk through robe and ensuite (with shower and dual entry toilet). Also on this level is a study (with built in desk chairs & toys for kids) and the powder room (which is dual entry with the en-suite).

Outdoor Areas

The large double garage (with Wii & smart TV and a second fridge) has internal access into the home as well into the fully enclosed rear yard. The side semi-covered deck (accessed from the central hallway) has a table and seating for 8, wall mounted smart TV, an outdoor heater, ceiling fan and gas BBQ. The covered rear deck provides incredible uninterupted views across westernport bay to the Mornington Pennisula and has a sofa, chair and coffee table.

The home has some security cameras focused on the yard, gardens and fences, plus a ring door camera.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with standard cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Delonghi Nespresso Pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, George Foreman grill, air fryer, pantry, large fridge, dishwasher, electric oven, and gas cook top. There is also a second refrigerator in the garage.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the living room plus a coonara-style wood heater, ceiling fans in all four bedrooms plus another on the side deck. There are mobile heaters in all the bedrooms plus an outdoor heater on the side deck.

This home has 5 beds accommodating up to 9 guests:

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.

A Great Stay!
We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you might need, plus oil, salt pepper etc in the pantry. Master bedroom does get very hot during the day but cools off quickly in the evening using cross breezes and overhead fan. Lovely views over farmland to the bay
