About this property

Welcome to your home away from home. A tastefully decorated one and half storey house all to yourself. It has a queen bed on main floor bedroom and two twin beds in upper storey/loft area. There is full laundry facilities in downstairs area and boasts a spacious fenced in yard with two parking spots with plug ins. as well as parking in side of house for boat and trailer or large U-haul. Supper fairy located nearby for quick easy prepared meals. We also have many deer that walk through property and can be seen frequently sleeping in the neighbour’s yard. Home has all amenities for comfortable short or long term stay. (This house is not located on lake. However very short drive to Rabbit Lake and Lake of the woods) and many beautiful hiking trails like tunnel island and rabbit lake trails.

Our stay

House was comfortable. Recommend brighter lighting especially on the stairs to upstairs ,really needs a good light. The back door really should have a proper landing and stairs. Looks like a liability to happen to someone. The rental was over priced especially when you charge Canadians in US dollars!

Great for a couple with dog

Great location close to downtown but a busy intersection so some traffic noise. We love that it was very close to rabbit lake for the lakeside trails and beaches. Fenced in yard was great for our dog.

Home Away From Home

It was nice, the owners response time through the app was very good. The instruction from the website was accurate, I didn't need to call to get access. Owner was very friendly and everything was as expected as a plus I was able to watch Netflix and Prime video. you don't get that at 'hotel' especially in kenora I was able to plugin my car on the driveway, as there was Power conveniently placed where my car was parked. the assumption is that everyone is pet friendly but there are special cases like myself who don't like that stuff. the remains of dog hair from other visitors lingered. not sure if there is a solution for that because you can't really get rid of animal hair that easily. The utilities there ran great without any trouble, they had dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, stove and fridge. in summary, the experience was great, I would book it again if I am ever to stay anywhere in Kenora.
