Beautiful and relaxing get away. The trails were beautiful to walk.Loved looking for turtles and frogs at the pond. Would definitely recommend and visit again. Owners of the property were great people. Thank you!
So Good!! 10 out of 10! The cabin held a comfortable temperature, everything was clean, including the showers, bathrooms and sauna! Overall a great experience, will be going back!
Our time in Manitoba was such a treat! We enjoyed the scenic walking trails and barrel sauna. The cabin was beautifully crafted and stayed incredibly toasty with the wood stove! Definitely hope to come back again soon and would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet vacation.
Enjoyed everything about this beautiful property and the almost brand new modern, yet rustic, cabin. I will definitely be back to enjoy the sauna, trails and peace and quiet. Was the perfect experience with every detail taken care of.
Brought my bike and my bathing suit. Enjoyed biking all over the trails on the property, swimming in the organic pool and relaxing in the sauna. I will definitely return!
We stayed for 3 nights looking for quiet time, a chance to unplug, cross country ski, star gaze and R&R. The cabin exceeded our expectations. It was very cozy, neat and well built. The solar system was more than ample for our needs. We prepared meals ahead of time, which meant we just needed to heat them up. The sauna was really great and heated up quickly. The ski trails are wonderful and looped around the nicely treed, property. All in all it was perfect. I'd like to come back in the summer, to experience the pool and the area when its leafed out.
The cabin is very cute, exactly like the pictures, and the perfect size for a couple. One day was extremely hot and it was hot in the cabin, thank goodness for the small fan they had. The outdoor shower was nice and the organic pool was so nice to swim in when it was hot. It was a man-made pond, very natural looking. We enjoyed the sauna on our second (cooler) day then swimming. The hosts were very responsive and quickly took care of one thing that wasn’t working. My one criticism is that the property is more field-like than forested as I expected, and there were tons of flies so we couldn’t even sit outside one day. (Of course that’s not the hosts fault, but from the pictures I was expecting a cabin in the woods). There are also a few cabins on the property which made it a bit confusing for check-in as we hadn’t been told which cabin we had. (this one is Poplar). But overall great natural, off the grid getaway. Even the outhouse was nicer than most!

Thank for your review. We are in the sandilands province forest and yes there a bugs in the woods. We have 160 acres of land 30% wild grass lands, 70% pine and poplar forest. If you only walked in the front of the property then you missed the forests behind you. We have over 5 km of trails to walk just on the property alone Field and Forest. The cabin name is listed at the top of the chat on VRBO, that’s usually enough for guests to know which cabin we booked. Continue to do our best to accommodate each guest and learn from each stay.

My husband Dan and I enjoy the outdoors cross-country skiing, fat biking, ATV, hiking, snowshoeing, and bird watching. You may spot us playing with our dogs, Turbo, Ranger, and Diesel. When building our cabins we wanted to be off grid, and environmentally friendly. It is very important to me that my guests feel welcomed and enjoy their holiday time.
