Small town stay

This is a basic down home place. Very clean. We didn't need to use the kitchen except for morning coffee, but the host left all the necccessiities and a nice selection of teas. Very nice!

Annual Fishing Trip

This was our 2nd trip back to Elk Creek Cabin and it was wonderful! The cabin is perfect for us and a great place to return to after a full day of fishing around Augusta. The bird song in the mornings is wonderful when eating breakfast out of the deck and the sunsets on those giant mountains must be seen to believe (photos don't do it justice). We'll be back next year!

Fun little mountain town!

Our group of 4 guys stayed 8 days at the Elk Creek Cabin during a hunting trip. The cabin was perfect for what we needed. Clean, spacious, conveniently located on the edge of town with only a 1 minute trip up the road to the general store and fuel station, (which has everything you need). Fun little town. I highly recommend!

Fishing trip with friends

The cabin was very clean and well decorated. It's tucked into the trees just off the highway on the edge of town, so it feels like it's off the beaten path, but still with walking distance to all the shops and the General Store. The upper deck was the perfect place to sit and visit with drinks, while watching the sun set over the Bob Marshall wilderness. Perfect cabin for our annual fishing trip!

Wedding Time

Our oldest son and his wife stayed with us in that wonderful cabin. We were there for our youngest son's wedding at a venue that turned out to be less than 2 miles away. The cabin was so cozy and comfy, it was just perfect for us.

Splendid

We had a great time! Clean cabin with everything you could possibly need. We sat on the large deck enjoying the view and said hey to the horses next door. A wonderful little town with great food, check out Buckhorn Bar. Great people! My only suggestion for the property would to keep the lawn cut. We wanted to play lawn games brought with us but the grass was too long. Take care!

Comfy Home Close to Augusta

Our stay in Augusta was mostly comfortable and efficient. We were close to town (within walking distance, but there isn't sidewalk the first 1/4 mile-ish) but far enough away that it is quiet. The house is stocked with all of the essentials - cookware, plates, cups, etc. We LOVED the deck (especially the upper deck to relax and read) and enjoyed a rainy day watching movies in the living room. We used the back room for puzzles. Only cons - there aren't any beach chairs as stated in the listing; the AC units downstairs worked wonderfully, but the only window for an AC unit is in the hallway and the AC unit was in it. It didn't even look like it would fit. So upstairs was unbearably hot. The people upstairs barely slept all week because of the heat - fans didn't even help. We reached out to the local contact about the AC and the beach chairs and never heard anything back. We also contacted them about the possibility about a late checkout because of a night-before ER visit, but never heard back ( it would have been nice to hear back either way). Besides those few things, the house was really a wonderful place to stay.
