Lovely little space!

It’s a beautiful space, stylishly decorated, clean and just what I needed for a brief stay with my husband and two small kiddos. It is small - so you need to be comfortable with that. But I personally love small spaces. I would certainly stay again.

Wish I wouldn’t have booked…

Although I knew it was a basement suite likely with people above, a warning that it is a loud, busy family and not soundproof would have been appreciated. I lasted 10 minutes before hearing arguing and swearing, and decided to leave. Sadly no refund at this point. Host denied what I heard/experienced. If you don’t mind hearing people walking, talking, chairs scraping on the floor, a dog walking around, and potentially some arguments, this place is just fine. The space itself is nice enough—just wished the description would have been more honest about the living situation and noise level.

Perfect little nest.

This was the perfect little nest for me—travelling solo, needing to be in the Cochrane/Calgary vicinity. Lovely decor, new finishings, equipped with all the essentials. Clean, crisp linens. Air exchange vent to keep the air refreshed even after showering or cooking. Great/prompt communication with the host (though absolute left-in-peace privacy, which I value highly). NB, while it feels light and not at all closed in, it’s still a ‘basement’ suite in the sense that you will hear as assortment of paws and little feet above you (that was all I was aware of—it’s not a case of hearing every dish clank or the TV, for ex). Small hanging bar w/ a few hangers was perfect for me—but if you’re more than one person, you’ll want to be ok with living out your suitcases (no closet or dresser). I needed nothing extra from the host, but I have no doubt at all, given my exchanges w/ her, that she would have been more than helpful/accommodating with any requests.
