Our Stay at Family Tides

The unit was newly renovated with enough room for large parties. We were most happy with the location a short distance from the Cherry Grove Beach public access. The walking distance was about 200 ft to the sand. We had the opportunity to meet the owners while there. They just purchased the property last year and did the current renovations. They plan to do more in the near future to make this unit even better.

Overpriced for a dirty condo

Didn't realize until check in that we had to pay extra for linens. Linens were stained when we unpacked to put in our beds (ended up buying towels and sheets from Walmart to use all week). When we arrived at our property it was dirty and smelled horrible. There was Toothpaste and "splatter" on all mirrors. Since we checked in after 7, they couldn't get the unit recleaned until the next morning. 2nd cleaning wasn't much better and ended up buying cleaning products and doing it myself. The hall bath, no matter what we did, had a odor we could not get rid of. Our children did not even want to use that bathroom unless it was an emergency. The AC went out 1/2 way through our trip and couldn't get fixed until the next day because the room that the HVAC repair man needed access to was locked and he couldn't get in touch with anyone since it was after hours. Tried to run ceiling fans when the AC was out and it was 87 degrees in the house but they were so dirty and dusty that they had to be cleaned because dust and dirt flew everywhere when turned on. With the amount of money we spent on the condo for the week, I had higher expectations. I understand that we rented during the summer and this property is very close to the beach so we are going to pay a premium but to come to a dirty unit and have to pay extra for stained linens was a very disappointing and bad way to start our vacation.
