About this property

Rocky Mountain Luxury Escape

Rocky Mountain Luxury Escape is just minutes from the village of Valemount. Our timber lodge is a spacious private retreat nestled between the Cariboo, Monashee and Rocky Mountain ranges. Panoramic views from the expansive windows, deck and private hot tub look across the valley. This is wilderness country where nature's kaleidoscope of color changes with every turn. Mesmerizing sunsets warm the heart and sooth the soul. Meticulously handcrafted finishing and cabinetry from ethically sourced reclaimed timber have turned normally utilitarian features into works of art. The original photography adorning the walls captures the local natural surroundings and wildlife. Exquisite attention to detail ensures your stay at our private retreat will provide a carefree and truly memorable experience to rejuvenate and inspire.

Throughout the home every space is designed for comfort and relaxation.

Entry: Upon entering the Rocky Mountain Luxury Escape you are warmly welcomed with reclaimed wood walls, unique décor and original photographs.

The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware and utensils for your cooking needs along with extra conveniences such as crockpot, pasta pot, pancake griddle, roasting pan, baking dishes and more. There are ample dishes, cutlery, and a variety of glassware for table settings. The unique custom-built cabinetry allows plenty of room for food and beverages and also includes an extra large pull-out cupboard with a variety of dry spices.

Dining: A spectacular live edge figure 8 shaped slab dining table with a tree stump pedestal base seats 8 and is surrounded by wilderness photography and stunning mountain views.

Main Floor Bathroom: Complete with a custom reclaimed wood vanity, granite counter and walk-in shower.

Main Floor Bedroom: Furnished with a queen size log bed, vanity/desk with chair, and large closet with mirrored sliding glass doors.

Living Room: Imagine yourself curled up before a crackling fire burning in the large stone fireplace. The two-story peaked wall of windows means nothing impedes the incredible view of the Cariboo Mountains on the west side of the Rocky Mountain Trench.

Master Suite: This luxury suite with queen sized log bed occupies the entire 500 square foot top floor. Enjoy the feel of a loft but with full privacy from a glass enclosed wall and French door access to the staircase leading down to the main floor. The custom-built rock slab beverage/snack area is a mini kitchen within this private oasis, complete with Keurig coffee maker, toaster, small fridge as well as glassware, plates, and cutlery. Once your snack is ready there is a large, jetted tub for two allowing you to enjoy the solitude while you take in the vast mountain view. The bathroom/vanity area is separated by a sliding door and features a custom designed slate walk-in shower. A private balcony on the north side of the suite is the perfect spot to enjoy nature’s ambience, a beautiful sunset invoking a true sense of peace and tranquility.

Lower-Level Great Room: This welcoming gathering space features a handcrafted bar encasing museum memorabilia of the original “mountain man” and provides the setting to enjoy your favorite beverage while reflecting on the lives of the original explorers to this rugged terrain. ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Hot Tub: A 7-person Artic Spa Salt Water Hot Tub is located on the lower deck. Soak in this amazing spa while taking in the spectacular views. It doesn’t get any better than this. There are hot tub towels in the linen closet on the lower level.

Outdoor Fire Pit: The fire pit is located off the lower deck. Due to forest fire concerns outside fires are permitted ONLY from October 1st to April 30th .

Spa Robes: For your comfort each bedroom is supplied with 2 spa robes.

Drinking Water: As the Lodge is on a well-water system please drink the provided filtered water only.

Air Conditioning: It can be very warm in the summer months of July/August. The Lodge does not have central air-conditioning. There is a portable air-conditioner in the master suite as well as portable fans in all bedrooms and a large ceiling fan in the main floor living room. All doors on the main floor and top floor have phantom screens that allow cool mountain airflow.

Driveway: As the Lodge is in a rural area and the long driveway has an upslope, we recommend 4-wheel drive vehicles in the winter months. Security Cameras: There are 3 exterior security cameras. One located at the front door. One located at the back door and one overlooking the hot tub area!

During your stay the cameras at the back door and hot tub area will be disabled.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!
This property is a work of art inside and out. Pictures do not give this property all the real beauty. Love a kitchen that is more stocked than my home kitchen. Having coffee on the deck with view is one of my favorite memories. So many local hikes. We also did a horse ride with Cowgirl up adventures, and a rafting trip with Mount Robson white water adventures. Would highly recommend. Thanks for sharing this property with our family. Hope many more people can enjoy it and appreciate it as much as our family.

Breathtaking, peaceful and perfect!
My family and I had such a wonderful time staying in this beautiful, custom-made home. The gorgeous photography throughout, the handmade furniture, the cleanliness and organization are just a few things that make this property one of a kind. The host really thinks of all the little things that add up to a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. The view from the family room and deck is truly amazing! It was actually hard to leave during the day as it felt like you were on your own private nature preserve. We enjoyed watching the animals, sunsets and just relaxing in such a quiet spot. The property manager and hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect stay. It truly couldn’t have been any better!

Get-away in the Mountains
Beautiful property. The log home was stocked with lots of cooking utensils, dinnerware, spices, towels, blankets etc. Hot tub, BBQ and decks were fantastic, and were all put to lots of use. Owners and property manager were accomodating and easy to deal with. 💯 would recommend this property.
