Welcome to Fiddler’s Green, a charming cottage in the heart of Bayfield and a true Canadian getaway. INSIDE:
The cottage boasts an inviting living room where you can cuddle in front of the fireplace while watching a movie on the Smart TV. I love the galley kitchen so I can be separate yet a part of things while preparing vacation treats. A large dining room is perfect for sharing your family favorite meals before heading to the beach!

OUTSIDE
Outside, you'll find a serene outdoor deck with a BBQ so you can grill up some steaks while enjoying the peace of Bayfield. There is ample seating and another nice dining table so you can all eat together. Afternoons here are usually spent playing a game of basketball, or enjoying an afternoon nap in the hammock
There’s also a private lounge area with café lighting so you can chat/laugh into the evening!

NOTE: there is no firepit here

The property is also within walking distance to Tuyll street where you will find several beach accesses. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all.

Family Getaway

The cottage was a delight, it was clean, well laid out and spacious. The grandkids loved the bunkie and claimed it as their space. The deck and outside eating areas were well used. I would recommend Fiddler’s Green as a great place to stay.

Ideal Cottage and Location

A very charming cottage which is a perfect location for our family. Close to the play park, downtown and not far from the beach access points. It works ideally for a family with diverse interests on any given day. We have spent a week each of the last three years and will likely keep returning as long as it is possible.

Bayfield getaway was lovely

Although the weather wasn’t always in our favour the lovely Fiddlers Green was ideal for our family time with my mum (91) and daughter (28). Incredibly clean, well appointed, beautiful gate da with two patio areas to enjoy outdoor drinks and eating. Lovely to walk to beach, sunset at Pioneer Park, Main St restaurants and shops. Any questions were answered promptly.

Great location, plenty of room for varied needs of senior guests. Comfortable and well appointed.

Seven seniors, siblings and partners had a reunion at Fiddler’s. We didn’t have good weather but we had plenty of opportunity to catch up with stories from our brother from Thailand and sister from Vancouver. The men cooked in the well equipped kitchen and the women tried not to get in the way! Excellent music provided by Alexa welcomed us and was the perfect background. Hope to return before another 8 years go by.

Weekend Getaway

Fiddler's Green was a lovely clean cottage not too far from Bayfield Main St. We had great weather, so we walked everywhere. We would have liked a fire pit, and found that we were very close to the neighbours. We didn't realize this until we got there. We also were surprised about all of the fees and the extra linen costs. This was our first rental through VRBO so maybe this is standard. Despite how it expensive it seemed for a weekend, we would recommend this cottage, it would be great for a group.

Everything Needed and More!

We enjoyed a one week stay with our elderly parents and pup, Sam, in tow. Our hosts Jennifer and Shauna made sure that we had everything we needed on and more - Sam enjoyed his welcome cookie and we appreciated the specialty chocolate! Thank you! Fiddler's Green is located at an excellent location - about a 3 minute walk to Clangregor Square and less than 10 to Pioneer Park. It has a wonderful back deck and side patio for reading and dining. Beds are very comfortable with various pillow selections and blankets. We didn't cook in but the kitchen is well-equipped and a BBQ is located on the back deck. Terrific week - thank you!

Lovely Clean Cottage

We are a group of 6 seniors, all over 70. The cottage was perfect for us.....just a few steps in the front door and 2 steps out the back to the private deck. The cottage is bright, very clean with comfortable furniture. Kitchen is well stocked with lots of glasses, mugs, plates, bowels and cutlery. All appliances were clean and new or well cared for. The fridge was completely empty....which is a bonus as far as we are concerned. Many rentals have food left in the fridge which we would never use. The cottage is not crowded with "stuff", so there is room for you to spread out your "stuff". Another bonus for us. Quiet residential area in May. We hope to be back in the fall. Thank you for sharing this wonderful spot.
