Our family unit was in town for a Thanksgiving with other family members who stayed in a separate house. This was a good home to come back to each evening. A pair of us brought mountain bikes and tried out the Dollar Mountain trails. We never did use the hot tub, although its placement is a great one to maximize the views. All in all, a funky place that was comfy and fit our needs well. Thank you.
Did not get check in instructions until called and asked for them after check in time. Dirty: cobwebs, dishes, silverware, floors. Under construction: no downspouts, exposed outlet, issues with upstairs shower and toilet roll holder. Challenges: Old heavy hot tub cover, inconvenient light switch locations, old towels, inadequate cleaning supplies, no ziplocks or Saran Wrap.

Grants Pass Home
The home is situated on a hill overlooking Grants Pass. It is a beautiful view. The home is comfortable, but the layout is a bit different. (Three bedrooms and large deck that surrounds the house on three sides are on the bedroom level. The kitchen, dining, family room and master bedroom is on the lower ground level. The entry is split so you step up to the bedrooms and down to the living area. There is a narrow concrete patio surrounds the living area on three sides. The hot tub is vintage-old and the temperature is at most 100 degrees. The temperature should be between 101 and 102.

Hi Brian, we passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: We do our very best to uphold high standards of hospitality for our property and provide all of our guests with an exceptional experience. We're glad that you enjoyed the view and a comfortable stay!
- We've been diligently fine-tuning the hot tub through our maintenance efforts. Our primary concern is ensuring the safety of all our guests, especially children and the elderly, so setting the temperature over 100 degrees is not advisable.
- Although we value open communication, we were never contacted by you about the hot tub. If you had notified us, we could have adjusted the temperature accordingly or inspected the heating element for any malfunction. We've also taken into account previous feedback, where higher temperatures led to complaints about the water being too hot.
Thanks for sharing your feedback. We do all we can to make our home the best possible experience, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Family New Years
The house is in the most beautiful location! We got to watch the fireworks from the second story balcony and it was amazing. Lots of room for parking or some basketball or fun game on the concrete. There is a whole master suite upstairs that is locked and to be honest kinda creepy. I am totally fine with the owners locking a closet or like a separate shed or something but its a little weird with a master suite locked up and would have liked to know this was the case BEFORE I booked since I have little kids. Only other minor issues, too many light switches that do nothing, no instructions for heaters, no hot pads for kitchen and downstairs master TV wouldn't work. Its definitly a one of a kind house and if you stay bring slippers since the floor is tile :)

Hi Courtney, the right vacation home is everything, and we're glad you loved the beautiful location and unique features of the house! After sending your feedback to the homeowner, we’d like to share the following:- The locked master suite is not included in the listing, which is advertised as a 4-bedroom home. We’re sorry if this caught you off guard and will review the listing to ensure this is clear to future guests.- We provided a crockpot for your stay and can confirm that the downstairs master TV is in working condition, though we wish you had reached out so we could assist with troubleshooting or replacing any missing kitchen items during your visit.- We’re happy to provide instructions for the heaters and encourage guests to contact us directly for assistance with any amenities.Thank you for highlighting both the positives and areas for improvement. We appreciate your insight and are confident this home will continue to provide memorable stays for future guests.
Visiting Family in Grants Pass/Celebrating the 4th/Daughter’s Birthday
Loved the Air conditioning, Ceiling fans in the Living Room, the Big Screen T.V., Comfy couches, the 4 bedrooms with Adult sized beds, except one of the full size beds was too uncomfortable to sleep in. Did like the privacy and especially loved the view since we could watch different fireworks going off in the neighborhood and town below from the second story balcony. Also we’re excited to see wild turkeys and adorable twin baby deers with their family. Wanted to enjoy the hot tub but didn’t know there was going to be extreme weather! (Triple digit weather for all 4 days we were there for the Fourth of July.) Didn’t even get in it. Had to stay inside to stay cool. Also made the long trip to Gold’s Beach (3 hrs!) to stay cool and hang out with our family who live in Grants Pass.
Probably won’t stay here again since one of the full sized beds was very uncomfortable- could barely fall and stay asleep. Also there are French doors in the bedrooms that allow access to the outside deck but there aren’t any curtains, just some frosted or etched glass window coverings that bring too much light in - I am a light sleeper and prefer a darker room,’plus the sun shines in very bright in the morning. Also didn’t like that the Refrigerator didn’t have a water dispenser or ice maker which you definitely need in the summer. Also. There are too many steps up to the house and then down into the house which made it difficult bringing in all of our luggage/ice chest, groceries, etc.
