ROMANTIC, Off grid experience for 2 (or 1)! Warm up to the cozy wood stove with a fully linen'd bed in the winter and extra cozy blankets. OPEN YEAR ROUND. No power and no digital distractions... the stars are gorgeous out in the country, just one hour from the city of Edmonton. Best part? NO DISHES. Load up dishes in a tote and text onsite concierge service, should you need a refresh on clean dishes. Pre-order farm fresh eggs for breakfast, or contact us to arrange a special chocolate or fruit lovers basket.
Cabin comes with complimentary warm beverages for your stay; and wood for the wood stove to keep you warm. Close proximity to Wabamun Lake, Pembina River, hiking and nature trails, get away to the 'Pioneer Cabin', and experience life in the country pioneer style.

- Outdoor BBQ and sitting area, no sharing with other pioneers.. this site is all yours.

Wood provided for the wood stove during off season from Oct. to May 1st.
Winterization in effect during off season - limited water available from Oct. to May 1st.
This rental is OFF GRID - meaning NO POWER, Outhouse, cooking area is wood stove, campfire or BBQ.
Barnacle the BBQ requires a lighter assist which is provided for you. She's old. But she's a trusty steed.
Bundles of wood can be purchased for $12 for the outdoor firepit. No wood from off site to prevent the spread of tree diseases/fungus and beetles. Extra bundles may be purchased from caretaker host.
Text concierge service available during posted hours.
Absolutely NO SMOKING of any kind inside cabin; outdoors only. An additional Cleaning fee will apply if smoking rule is broken to respect other guests.
Please be aware this is farm country, there will be tractors, maybe farmers working in their fields. Its gorgeous, though at times we cannot predict there may be a little noise. Our current rates have been reduced to accomodate this. Thank you so much, and we hope you enjoy all there is from the nearby lakes, rivers to the Provincial Parks just a short drive away!

Definately would recommend this property. A great calming romantic getaway which was much needed. A great getaway from all the busy and loud city life. Thank you Dani and Josh for the amazing hospitality, we will definately be back.

This is exactly as described! The cabin was well equipped and very cozy! It was the best way to just unplug and leave the city behind! Well definitely return! I can't wait to see the beautiful scenery during all seasons!

Just the getaway we needed!

This was a wonderful experience for my partner and I! The property was lovely and well taken and the service was fantastic. You can tell when someone really love what they do and really want you to enjoy the experience as much as possible! Will certainly be returning again!

Firstly property is not located in Seba beach, but is in Tomahawk. Secondly you should gave to screw around trying to Join Vrbo (with codes) that don't work just to get the a map of where the location is. thirdly property owners should be able to contact you directly with that information as well as their contact info

Your host

We are first gen farmers, learning about self sustainable living; farming, recycling, upcycling; organics. We have chickens and sheep; and created an unique accomodation rental so that we can share this beautiful, country paradise with others.

Why they chose this property

We've travelled a lot and stayed in a lot of interesting accomodations! Having living in the city before 2020, one place we always looked on our adventures was for a small, private cabin to rent. We've put all of our cabin experiences, into what we've looked for in an accomodation for others that's affordable. It's different! A shed conversion to tiny cabin. This space has been prepared to be completely liveable off grid, in the event of a major catastrophe. We used mostly recycled materials with exception of the wood stove, which is an important addition. It's pretty cool, inspiring, and we want to share what it's like to stay here with others. If you've ever wanted to live off grid or experience what it might have been like for pioneers, this stay should definitely be on your list! With a lil' luxury because let's be real, we all love a bed, linens, cozy blankets with a roof over our head when the rain comes.

What makes this property unique

This is a different experience. Glamping, cabin style. We want you to relax and unplug, the dishes are taken care of for you, linens are ready to go, all you have to do is bring the clothes off your back and food you'd like to prepare... unless you'd like to purchase some farm fresh eggs, seasonal produce, preserves or lamb... or explore and eat out at one of the county restaraunts!
