About this property

Autumn is here - Luxury Farm Cottage on a working cattle and sheep property.

Coorumbene Cottage is located on a working merino sheep and angus cattle property. The farm is halfway between Sydney and Melbourne, just 15-20mins off the Hume Highway. It is conveniently located on Ellerslie Road, a 10 minute drive from the township of Adelong. Just turn off the Snowy Mountains Highway and you are there. Nestled in the foothills of the South West Slopes of the Snowy Mountains you will have access to a beautiful region including many attractions including the Sculpture trail in Adelong and the wider Snowy Valleys region. Go fishing on the Tumut river. Drive to Batlow for Ciderfest or Tumbarumba for a local winery tour. This spot is the perfect gateway location.
The cottage offers a comfortable stay in the renovated original farm cottage. There are 3 bedrooms, (2 doubles and a twin share bedroom). Enjoy the separate lounge with free to air TV. The cottage has reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you comfortable in all seasons. The kitchen diner, which includes laundry facilities, offers a well appointed kitchen with coffee machine, microwave and dishwasher. A small bbq is available on the verandah. It is a perfect spot for a self catered break. A wrap around verandah allows beautiful views of farm land and Yaven Yaven Creek. Kick back and enjoy the bird life and sounds of the country while you relax and unwind. You will be able to enjoy the livestock grazing nearby. Also be amazed by the clear skies and beautiful stars at night.

Idyllic farm stay
My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the weekend in this little piece of paradise. Andrea and Andrew were the most amazing hosts, welcoming us on Friday night with a cozy fire and farm fresh eggs for breakfast the next day. The cottage has been beautifully renovated and is well appointed with everything you could need for your stay. Thoroughly recommend!

About the host

Hosted by Andrea Tulloch

Host profile image
Andrew grew up on the farm and is 3rd generation here. I moved here when we married. Farm life is very busy and although new to hosting it gives us fresh eyes and reminds us how stunning and beautiful our landscape is.

Why they chose this property

The cottage was the original home on the farm and is nestled near Yaven Yaven Creek. It is surrounded by farm life.

What makes this property unique

As my mother in law would say ‘Why would you want to be anywhere else!’The rolling hills and native to sown pastures offers visitors an experience of farm life.
