With direct river access, canoeing and kayaking are popular activities on the river. In the evening, star gaze around an open fire in the large fire pit off the stone patio.
If you want more adventure, the cottage is a short drive to fun dining experiences at Jean Farris Winery and Bistro, or Proud Mary's riverside restaurant and bar. Although the cottage is in a secluded setting, it's only a half-mile from Interstate 75, within easy driving distance to Boone's Trace championship golf course, Boone Creek Canopy Tour (zipline)Boonesborough State Park, Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park. The Kentucky Horse Park is a popular attraction and pairs up well with tours of surrounding Horse Farms and a visit to retired race horses at Old Friends Farm. The 3rd Floor Suite of the Cottages offers a cozy, couple's sanctuary with a view of the Kentucky River from the dining area of the cottage. The doors open onto a private deck for relaxing with your morning coffee. The kitchenette area provides a full fridge, sink, and microwave for snacking and simple meals. When you arrive, you'll find a binder on the table listing area attractions and our staff stands by to ensure you have a great experience.
