Private new 4 season oasis nestled amongst the trees close to Haliburton Village

Exhale amongst the trees in this two bedroom, 4 season new build 13 minutes east of the restaurants and galleries in Haliburton Village. A short walk takes you to a rocky point on Minnicock Lake, and a short drive takes you to municipal boat launches on Stormy or Loon Lake. Challenge yourself by cycling the many hills, or meander along the many walking trails. Take a week long course at Flemming Art College, explore the Sculpture Garden, or set up your laptop in the screened in porch, and let the birds and other critters distract you. Create a meal in the spacious kitchen, then build your s’mores by the campfire while the crystal clear night sky puts on a show.
**Haliburton has introduced a 4% accommodation tax. Unfortunately VRBO does not have an agreement with the municipality to collect this tax, and therefore the host must remit the tax. Excellent place to escape! Great amount of privacy on a piece of land large enough for a quick hike. We extended our stay an extra night, and Katherine was a very responsive and accommodating host.

Wanted a snowy vacation with family. Beautiful spot and lovely cabin. Great and detailed communication. Would recommend bringing your own drinking water, well water is potable but tastes like sulfur.

This is the 1st time at this cottage and was very impressed with the surroundings as well as cleanliness. If you are wanting to get away and just relax in a happy place I would definitely recommend. The hostess was very easy to contact and would get back to you within minutes. very enjoyable stay.

Great place in the bush - Short drive to Haliburton

We booked this place while visiting with family in Haliburton for Easter weekend. It was about a 5-10 minute drive from Haliburton which was perfect. Very clean and modern interior, you can tell great pride is taken in keeping this cabin tidy! Will more than likely book again the next time we are visiting!

We stayed at the cottage for two weeks while taking classes at Haliburton School of Art and Design. The cottage is very cute, newly renovated and very well maintained. The cottage owner was quick to respond to inquiries and was a pleasure to deal with. We had a couple of maintenance issues and the owner had them dealt with very quickly. The area is very pretty and peaceful. I would definitely rent this cottage again!

Fabulous cozy vacation home

We stayed at Ten Acre Wood for 2 weeks while attending Halliburton School or the Arts (13 mins drive away). The house is clean, in perfect condition, stylish, cosy and has an incredibly well-equipped kitchen. The beds are comfy and we really enjoyed the screened in porch. The property is beautiful and so peaceful. Katherine is a great host - she responded quickly, gave us great recommendations for things in the area and was a delight to communicate with. Katherine ensures that her guests are safe and comfortable in this lovely home away from home. We highly recommend it!

Cosy stay in the woods!

My partner and I recently had a delightful stay at Ten Acre Woods. The property is set among the trees, and although you can see some other properties, it is very quiet and private. It was about a 10 minute drive from Haliburton. The house itself is clearly recently built/renovated with beautiful butcher's block counter tops, great water pressure and a fancy potbelly woodfire indoors. This cabin was immaculately clean on check in and extremely well stocked with firewood + kindling + newspaper, as well as kitchen staples like salt, pepper, tea, coffee filters, and a much appreciated Brita filter jug. The water was hot, plentiful and very clean and drinkable. We had a bit of snow on our first day and it was lovely to watch it fall through the windows while curled up in front of the fire. There were two beds, double and queen - the bedrooms are quite small but that added to the cosy feeling! My only suggestion for improvement would be adding some larger sofas for maximum relaxation in front of the fire - otherwise it was the perfect Christmas getaway. We can't wait to come back!
