Welcome to Waterside Lakehouse on the shores of Lake Erie and nestled among the EPIC Wineries of Essex County. Take in the magnificent views of Lake Erie from the 'infinity deck' or take a short walk (5 min.) to the public beach, harbour and marina in the Village of Colchester. The harbour features a park with a splash pad for the kids, pirate ship climbers and a pier that can be the perfect spot for fishing. You are minutes away from a number of the best Ontario wineries. Enjoy!

This is a spacious two story home overlooking Lake Erie. The kitchen, living room, game room, laundry and bathroom are located on the main level with a sliding patio door that leads to the deck. The three bedrooms are located on the second floor with two full bathrooms.

The accommodations were as described and any questions were answered quickly by Jason. It is a lovely area to visit with golf courses, excellent wineries and good food available. We had a rainy stay but still had a great holiday. We are planning our next trip to Point Pelee area already.

This home and our host - Jason are an A. This home was exactly as described but better. It is a lovely home but even more important, it is comfortable. The beds, pillows, LR furniture are all inviting and super comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and has what you need to cook a nice meal. The yard is stunning and well cared for with grass and gorgeous flowers. Jason was available for questions, before and during our stay. He was easy to work with. We will definitely stay here for our next trip to Canada!

Amazing Getaway!

This was the getaway we needed! It was everything we wanted and more. The view overlooking Lake Erie was incredible. The location is perfect; walking distance to the beach, restaurant, and a dozen great wineries just minutes away. The game room and pool table was a hit for breaks away from the stunning porch view. The home itself is warm and welcoming. Can’t wait for the next visit!

This home is very modern and has all the comforts of home, really enjoyed the decor. The best part of the property is the beautiful landscape and views of the lake. Great communication by the owner. Location was very convenient to the wineries and there was a beach within walking distance. It The only downside is that one of the bedrooms had an opening that looked over the stairs - so not exactly a completely private space.

A serene slice of paradise

We loved this beautiful, spacious home overlooking Lake Erie. Even with two of our days overcast and stormy, we had so much fun exploring the area, enjoying the area restaurants, vineyards, farmstands, and spas (facials at Jem were fabulous). Inside the home is a pool table—a big hit for our family—a Jacuzzi, wonderful kitchen, modern bathrooms and three comfortable bedrooms. Outside is a wonderful deck filled with flowers, fire pits, tables and chairs and barbecue grill facing the water. The beach is a few minute walk away, as is a new motel with coffee shop! We loved our stay here and look forward to returning in the future!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this property and the location. The lakehouse sits up on the bluff overlooking spectacular views of Lake Erie. In the distance you'll see freighters traversing the Great Lakes while up close there is an abundance of recreational boating as we are just a short distance from Colchester Harbour. A short drive from the property will lead you to a number of local wineries along the local wine trail.

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location... Take a 5 minute walk up the street to the public beach, harbour, splashpad or local eatery. The lakehouse is located just a short distance from some of our treasured Essex County Wineries and a number of beautiful little towns. Visit historic Amherstburg or enjoy the restaurants and scenery of Kingsville. Travel a little further and you are at one of the most southern areas in Canada, Point Pelee National Park.
