The cabin is charming with a beautiful view and fire pit. The hot tub felt great after a busy day of hiking and kayaking! Onsite, full-size laundry is convenient and there were plenty of towels and linens for our family. The kids loved the loft bedrooms too!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was remote but close enough to the town and other locations that we were easily kept busy. The house itself was well maintained, clean, and perfect for a week away. We enjoyed the hot tub and the mountain views, and we had no communication issues at all. Check in and check out was easy!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! The home itself was clean, cozy, and had the perfect layout for our family of five—plenty of space to spread out and relax. The surrounding grounds were absolutely beautiful, with peaceful views overlooking the valley. We enjoyed unwinding in the hot tub after a day of hiking. The location was about 30 minutes from both Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxing and scenic getaway!

Overall the property was great; everything was clean and well kept. The grounds are beautiful as is the surrounding area. The only issue we had was that the WiFi wasn't working for the duration of our stay, which caused some trouble for those in our party who had to work.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed the property, the cleanliness, and the beautiful surroundings. We sincerely apologize for the WiFi issue during your stay—it’s certainly frustrating when that’s not working as expected, especially for those needing it for work. We’ll make sure to look into this and address any issues so it doesn’t affect future guests. We appreciate your understanding and would love to welcome you back for another stay in the future!
We had a great stay at the Furnace Mountain Retreat. Bonus that we were greeted in the morning by a sweet neighborhood doggo named Butterbean!
Remember to bring your coffee grounds. Cabin has a coffee maker, but no Keurig or coffee grounds.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! 😊 We're thrilled you enjoyed the beautiful views, quiet atmosphere, and tasteful decor, and that everything matched the listing. We apologize for the sewer smell in the laundry/bathroom area and appreciate your understanding while maintenance worked to address it. We'll ensure it’s resolved for future guests. We’d love to welcome you back for an even better stay! 🏡✨🌲
Thank you so much for sharing this with us — we truly appreciate the feedback. 💛 We're sorry to hear about the front door and the sewage line concerns during your stay. That’s definitely not the experience we want for our guests, and we’ve already passed this along to our maintenance team so both issues can be addressed right away.
Thank you again for staying with us — we’d love the opportunity to welcome you back for a much smoother and more comfortable visit next time. 🌲✨
Thanks to the person who mentioned it being in the same deiveway as 102 because otherwise we never would have found it. Once there we fell in love with it. Our complaints are small.. the front door jams a bit and allows a draft in (it was 20 out so that breeze had a bite), there was a spider and its webb in the sink, and there are not curtains in the kitchen so its an open view for the neighbors But even with that i would 100% stay here again. The view from the hot tub is very nice. The kitchen had all of the dishes we needed. There is a little charcoal grill if needed and they even left firewood. This was the perfect retreat

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re glad the note about the shared driveway helped and that once you arrived, you fell in love with the cabin. It’s wonderful to hear that the hot tub view, well-stocked kitchen, grill, and firewood made your stay feel like the perfect retreat.
We really appreciate you letting us know about the front door draft, the spider web, and the lack of kitchen curtains. We’re sorry for those inconveniences—especially with the cold weather—and we’ll be addressing each of those items right away to ensure future stays are even more comfortable.
It means a lot to hear that despite those small issues, you’d still stay again. We’d be delighted to welcome you back anytime!
We really enjoyed staying at furnace mountain! Mattresses and bedding were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with high-quality pans, mixing bowls, plenty of dishes, sharp knives, and lots of nice mugs for sipping morning coffee and hot chocolate by the fireplace. All the comforts you could want - including several throw blankets and plenty of towels. This cabin felt more like a home than some of the cabins I've stayed at because everything was high-quality (whereas some cabins just seem to be stocked with the most affordable dishes, knives, etc., which don't work as well).
The cabin is surrounded by trees and feels very private. We only saw the neighbor's adorable dog, Butterbean, who loved to come by to say hi and is absolutely the sweetest!

Thank you for the wonderful review! 😊 We're thrilled you enjoyed your stay at Furnace Mountain and felt right at home. It's great to hear that the comfortable bedding, high-quality kitchen supplies, and thoughtful touches like cozy throw blankets and plenty of towels made your stay extra special. The private, tree-surrounded setting sounds like the perfect retreat—and how fun to meet Butterbean! 🐾 We’d love to host you again for another peaceful getaway. 🏡✨🌲☕
Our stay here was wonderful. The cabin is bright and nicely decorated, had ample space for me, my husband and our adult kids, and had enough other areas that we were able to enjoy our idle time here. We came to see other attractions, and ended up deciding to come back to the cabin for an evening by the fire. The hot tub was a nice addition too. The only thing I gave less than 5 stars for was the spiders -- we had to go around to every doorway and clear out spiderwebs in order to use the outdoor spaces. That happens in the woods, but a nice touch would have been to have those cleared away before we arrived. No other issues -- the kitchen was stocked with cookware, dishes and anything you need to cook, the washer and dryer came in handy, and the neighbor's dog kept us company in the mornings! I'd highly recommend this cabin, and might use it ourselves again in the future!
