The Lazy Turtle - pet friendly 2bed/2bath poolside ground floor unit, sleeps 6.

The condo is recently renovated with an en-suite king bed master bedroom and a queen bed guest bedroom. The living area has a queen sleeper sofa.

Bed and bath linens are supplied for 6 guests along with beach towels for fun trips to the pool/beach. A washer & dryer is available so you can be ready for daily island adventures.

Wireless internet is available for those who wish to stay connected.

In condo entertainment options include; a living room smart TV, bedroom Roku-enabled TVs, and a selection of family games stored beneath the coffee table.

The well-supplied kitchen makes it easy to dine in and offers; essential cookware & utensils, dishware for 8, microwave, toaster, Keurig, brew coffee pot and blender.

The condo resort offers the following; swimming pool, hot tub, dry sauna, 24 hour fitness gym, clubhouse, BBQ pits and an on-site fishing pond.

There are pool rinse showers for after beach adventures and a car rinse station behind building 6 (local water restrictions dependant).

The condo has an assigned parking spot right outside the patio. Boat/trailer parking is allowed in designated areas.

Take a short walk to enjoy Whitecap beach or a 12-mile drive south to the Padre Island National Seashore for 20+ miles of drive-on or walk-on beaches (the latter have rinse stations for humans and pets). Mustang Island State Park is also a short drive north and allows pier fishing along with more beautiful beaches.

You will become hooked on North Padre Island's rich offerings including many restaurants, coffee spots and proximity to many family-friendly entertainment options to include; the Texas Sealife Center, horse riding on the beach, surfing and windsurfing. Venturing further afield to Corpus Christi allows you to visit the Texas State Aquarium, South Texas Botanical Gardens, Studio C art gallery and the USS Lexington to name just a few attractions.

We loved our time away, the property is comfy, accomodating and welcoming. We had a wonderful time, was able to relax and enjoy our time off. Fantastic place!

We really enjoyed staying at this location and I highly recommend it! The location is great with a 5 min walk to the beach and a 10 second walk to the pool! The owners were responsive and kind and made sure any issue we had was resolved quickly. The place could use a bit of updating to make it more modern but other than that, we absolutely loved it!

Windsurfing Vacation.

Really nice location for access to Padre Island National Seashore and Bird Island Basin for windsurfing. Weather was a little cold for swimmimg but perfect for the hot tub. The apartment had everything we needed. Lots of parking. We'll be back next year.

Perfect spot!

Wonderful stay. Parking is right in front of the balcony. Pool could not be closer. Very safe! Property owners were quick to answer when i couldnt figure out the fan controls(user error). We loved it!

Comfortable for our week in Texas. The pool was right across from our condo and the ocean only a short walk away. We enjoyed the kite flying day at Padre Island National Seashore just down the island from where we were. A little cool and very misty for the first couple of days but turned nice the last few. Would go there again when the weather is warmer.

I apologize if the condo environs did not match your expectations. Island life is a little more relaxed than normal life so getting things fixed in a timely fashion is challenging, unfortunately the hot tub does not fall under individual condo owners powers to expedite repairs, we can only voice our concerns to the condo management company which I did.

The condo was pretty comfortable, but there was a problem with the master bedrooms shower, the water was backing up and I had to use a plunger while showering. The dishes in the dishwasher had not been unloaded from the prior guests. When we moved the coffee table you could see it had not been swept. We pay a hefty cleaning fee I expect the condo to be cleaner when we get there. It was small things, but I’ve stayed in different condos at Beach Club and they always exceed my expectations.

The prior guest had made a huge sandy mess of the condo (along with food everywhere) and my cleaner had a lot of extra work to get it ready n the short time we had. I ask all guest to notify me right away to resolve any issues. I had not heard from you during your stay so I assumed you were happy.

Complicated Stay

We've stayed at this property before without any problems. However this time, as we arrive there ready for beach fun, the condo was not cleaned and ready for us! It did get cleaned in 90 minutes, but was a set back for us and caused problems with plans we had already made. However, when the cleaners left they did not complete the job and we had to look for towels in drawers and sheets for extra bedding. Other problems occurred later. We will not be staying in this condo again, but other rental condos in this complex are great but with none of the stipulations that this one has.

Ah yes, I was expecting this, unfortunately. Despite them giving us a 4 star review last trip and complimenting us by returning for a second visit. Jean and her husband were understandably upset by a cleaning schedule error which I remedied as quickly as possible (less than 90 mins from first call @4:15 pm to clean condo) and I refunded her the clean fee as an apology. However I will not excuse their rudeness to me or my cleaners, nor will I overlook the fact they brought x3 large dogs and no kennels to the condo thereby breaking my house rules on pets. I will not be hosting this family again.

Nice Place By the Beach

My husband and I brought our grand kids to the beach for fun and fishing (the grandson). The condo is nicely decorated with good furniture, decor and kitchen paraphernalia. The location at Beach Club is on the end of the condo row, so parking is easily accessible. Also, its in front of the pool, so that's also easily accessible. The fishing was great for my grandson between the beach he look walk to, and the community pond. He caught many fish, big and small! We really enjoyed our stay even as the weather was a little chilly... The only drawback I had on this property was the checkout requirements that I didn't know about until I read the paper posted next to the refrigerator. It directed the towels to be washed , dried and rehung, sheets to be placed in the washing machine and kitchen to be cleaned. Well, on our last morning there I ran around like a tiger trying to get this all done. Checkout time came and the towels still weren't dry. Too much stress! I thought we paid for the cleaning in the Cleaning Fee on our bill. However, outside of this situation, everything else was good.

Jean - thank you for taking care of our condo. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay at North Padre and you found the condo to be accommodating and comfortable. Cleaning fees being separate is an industry standard for the area for private rentals. Clean fees are keep relatively the the same regardless of length of stay and it is really to pay for getting the condo ready and restocked for the next guests (bathrooms/showers/floors/organizing). It is essential that guests take care of towels and dishes that they use themselves and all of this is explained in our listing details/reservation confirmation details. I am sorry that you did not see this until the last minute but the signs were there the whole time and guests are asked to familiarize themselves with the expectations prior to check in/at check in. Bed linens are requested to be put on a wash cycle before you leave, you don't have to complete the bed linen turn around. We hope that you visit us again in the future as you appear to have enjoyed everything else about the condo and its location. Happy spring, Renate Morris

Why they chose this property

We visited North Padre Island by chance in June 2016 and fell in love with what it has to offer families like ours. The beach fun we had and the easy variety of food options available on the island (both eating out and self catering) were just incomparable to anything we had encountered within a few hours drive from San Antonio. The Beach Club Condos instantly felt like home from home and we stayed at 2 different units before deciding to purchase our own.

Our poolside ground floor unit is one of the most sought after units on the property. The Beach Club resort is itself close to many premium beaches making it easy to spend quality time relaxing by the sea.
