The cabin was spacious and came with helpful things such as a fire pit and wood, games, cooking utensils, etc. It was great for 5 people and a (service) dog! The property is spacious and secluded but within good distance of neighbors. About 40 min to Nashville and 20 min to other neighborhoods.

Secluded cabin, great for spending time with family, nice area to walk around during the day (far away from traffic). Ideal place to relax by the fire at night time. Very close to state parks and good food.
A decent place to stay. Very private cabin in the woods.

This is a beautiful place inside and out. Pretty true to pictures. The driveway was a little hard to find because the landscaping looked a little overgrown. Internet was not ideal. The trail and wild animals were fun to walk and see. We will definitely rent again if and when in the area.
The location is great if you enjoy the woods - and we certainly do! It was very clean. You may want to check the thermostat for the heat as that is not working correctly and maybe instructions on how to turn on the gas fireplace. Also, you could use a toaster or small toaster oven. Those are minor things as the place is a beautiful location!

Thank you for your review and for choosing our property for your getaway in the woods.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the thermostat, and we have had it checked by a professional to ensure it is working correctly. As for the gas fireplace, we do have instructions listed in the guidebook, but we apologize if you missed them. We'll make sure to make them more prominent for future guests.
We also appreciate your suggestion about the toaster or small toaster oven and will take it into consideration for future improvements.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and we hope to welcome you back soon!
This was a perfect setting for those desiring a quiet place to relax and regroup, with few distractions and lots of nature to enjoy. Suggestions for improvement might include spraying for poison ivy, towel rods/toilet paper holders in upstairs bath, repair/removal of downstairs attached shower head that shoots water onto high ceiling, clothing rods/hooks in upstairs, and cleaning just prior to guests arriving (dishes on open shelving were dusty with small gnats, toenails on floor in upstairs bedroom), and replacement of porch cushions (or storing new ones when not in use). The continuous light on in the inaccessible basement area was a little disconcerting upon arrival (was someone down there?) Emphasis on importance of having key code with you at all times/or changing it would also be nice or large note on door to remind guests that DOOR AUTOMATICALLY LOCKS WHEN CLOSED. Nearby park paths were enjoyable for walking.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting and nearby walking paths. A few points we’d like to clarify: the basement light was on simply because someone forgot to turn it off after grabbing supplies—no one else was in the area. Reminders about the door lock, including instructions for reprogramming to a new code, are provided in emails, texts, and on the laminated sheet in the home to ensure guest safety.
We appreciate your other suggestions regarding the upstairs bath, porch cushions, and cleaning details, and we’ll address them to continue improving the experience for future guests. We’re happy you were able to enjoy your time relaxing and reconnecting with nature!

House hunting trip
Air conditioner had trouble keeping upstairs cool and the stairs to get up there are not quite right. The driveway needs to be trimmed back to keep sticks and such off your car. Be very careful on the road getting into there also

Thank you for sharing your feedback. The home did experience unusually high temperatures during your stay, and while the AC was operating, we understand that extreme heat can make it harder to keep the upstairs as cool as desired. We’ve since had landscaping work done to address the driveway and make it easier to access and park without concern.
We appreciate you noting both the positives and the areas for improvement, as this helps us continue making the property more comfortable and welcoming for future guests.
The cabin is very comfortable and cozy. Has most utensils you will need. The reason for 4 stars is that the porches were unusable. Cushions had mold on them. This was a disappointment as we had some fantastic fall weather and would have liked to spend more time on the porches.

We have since cleaned the cushions per your comments to ensure they are in perfect condition for future guests.
We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back so you can fully enjoy the fantastic weather on the porches.
Water pressure was not good in either of the showers, terrible order from the dishwasher, the grounds were not good for seniors to walk around. The beds were comfortable, but not the seating area. For me it didn’t have a log cabin comfy feel. Needs a deep clean😟

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay didn’t meet your expectations.
Our property is set in a natural, wooded area, which many guests love for its charm and peacefulness. However, we understand that this type of terrain may not be ideal for everyone, especially those with mobility concerns. We strive to provide an accurate description of the location, but understand it may not be a fit for all travelers.
We haven't had any previous issues with the dishwasher, but we will certainly check it out. We'll also inspect the water pressure in the showers to ensure everything is functioning properly.
Cleanliness is very important to us, and while we regularly deep clean the property, we’ll make sure to review your concerns with our cleaning team to ensure we continue to meet high standards.
Thank you again for your input, and we hope you enjoyed your time despite the challenges.
Its a nice cabin and I think with a little extra touches, it could easily be a 5 star location! The owner has done a great job updating the bathrooms and kitchen. There was an ample supply of towels and wash clothes and the beds had comfortable pillows. The tv/kitchen area was roomy and comfortable. We would like to have a had a few more cooking utensils and we had a hard time regulating the temperature with the thermostat. It kept resetting on its own and turning the heater on. It was so hot upstairs. It was a nice place tonstay while visiting family in the area.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review! It's wonderful to hear that you appreciated the updates we've made to the bathrooms and kitchen, as well as the ample supply of towels, washcloths, and comfortable pillows. We're also glad to know that the TV/kitchen area provided a roomy and comfortable space for you.
Your feedback regarding the need for more cooking utensils and the issue with the thermostat is incredibly valuable. We aim to ensure our guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay, so we'll certainly look into expanding our kitchen supplies and resolving the thermostat issue to prevent any future discomfort.
We're delighted that our cabin served as a nice place for you while visiting family in the area, and we hope to make your next stay even more comfortable and deserving of that 5-star rating. We look forward to welcoming you back again!
The home was great and the owner was very responsive to any questions or concerns. The outside landscaping could use some attention but the inside has been well taken care of and thought has been put into its look and charm. The surrounding area has plenty to do. We took the short drive into Nashville, canoed on the Harpeth River, visited Harpeth River State Park, and had great pizza at a local pizza place in Kingston Springs called Skyking pizza. There is also a small grocery store in town and a few fast food places. There is even an Indian restaurant near the Pilot gas station. It was delicious. We also saw a deer on the property. Overall, I highly recommend!
Nice place to stay. The instructions from property manager told us everything we needed to know about arriving and getting in the house. Didn't need to contact the manager for anything while there. The only issue we came across was the there weren't enough towels and wash clothes. Only enough for the first night and we were out and there is no washer and dryer to wash them everyday. So we had to go buy some. One of the best things was that the beds were all very comfortable. Every single one of us like the mattresses that were on the beds and rested well.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at our property. We're delighted to hear that the instructions provided were helpful and that you found the beds exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest for everyone.
We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced regarding the towels and washcloths. For reference, we typically provide two sets of towels per guest. However, we understand that this might not always be sufficient for everyone. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we will look into ways to better communicate this aspect or adjust our provisions in the future.
Thank you for choosing our property for your stay, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again, with improved amenities to enhance your experience.
The property and experience was alright. There was a glass table that I (28 weeks pregnant) tripped over cause you can barely see it. Lots of bugs inside the house probably coming from the holes on the floor of from the basement. An animal must’ve died under the porch because their was an horrid dead animal smell. other than that Overall it was nice.

Thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry to hear about the issues you encountered. After a thorough inspection, we found no signs of an animal under the porch or any cause for the smell, and there have been no further complaints regarding any unusual odors. I’m also sorry about the glass table incident and the bugs. We’ll take steps to make the table more visible and address any potential entry points.
We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and are glad to hear that overall, your stay was nice. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again with a better experience!

The house was cute, all other VRBO’s I have stayed at at least have complementary bottles of water for you. Nothing here! We got there at 11:00pm due to our flight. The downstairs rooms had lots of flying bugs and red wasp. We killed at least 10 the first night. The stairs to upstairs are very steep, and no hand rail. The restroom upstairs smelted very moldy, damp. I. The bedroom there is a door that leads to the space between the walls, that should be closed by a latch or something. Also, if you want people to do your job and empty the trash cans from the restrooms and so forth, you can at least leave have trash bags in the trash cans. Also, no toilet paper holder in the restroom upstairs. The carpets that are on the floor are old, dingy, and feel gross when you walk on the barefooted.
The rocks between the driveway and the porch are covered with leaves and algae on the made them very slippery.
Beds were comfy!!

Thank you for your feedback. We aim to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all our guests and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.
While we do not provide complementary bottles of water, this is common practice for many vacation rentals. We apologize if this was an inconvenience for you.
Regarding the flying bugs and wasps, it's unfortunate that you did not mention this issue during your stay, as we could have addressed it immediately. This is not a typical experience for our guests.
The stairs do have a handrail, as shown in photo number 22 of our listing. Additional trash bags are stored under the sink for guest use, and we regret that this was not found.
Leaves and algae on the rocks are a natural occurrence, particularly in areas surrounded by nature. If being close to nature is not preferred, a different VRBO might be more suitable for future stays.
The comment about the rugs is new to us, and we will check them to ensure they meet our quality standards. Thank you.
Great space, as described. Kitchen had all we needed for a night in. Close enough for great restaurants and then back to cabin for a cozy cocktail around the fire pit. Property has a pretty creek at the back of the property behind the house.
