Misrepresented property

While words like “stylish” can be subjective this place did not match our expectations. The image of the hedge looks like it is on the property but is across the road so privacy is an issue with only cobweb covered metal security grills instead of curtains. While the house has been renovated it seemed half-finished - no rugs, limited artwork and futons for beds. The plant that’s pictured is one of the only plants on the property. The house is austere and lacked charm or care which mirrored the host’s response to our concerns. We’d hoped to stay for 2 weeks but left almost immediately, and are still awaiting some form of recompense.

Adequate

The property was adequate and comfortable but we had to wash all of the dishes before using them. Every wine glass and tumbler in the cupboard was unwashed, covered in wine or lipstick or sticky fingerprints. Attention to detail makes a difference and this was not acceptable.

The house was lovely and clean, the amenities were good but the beds were uncomfortably hard and there were no curtains in the loungeroom, therefore no privacy from the street. The bedroom windows were almost impossible to open which made the rooms stuffy.
