This is the third year we have stayed at this property for Christmas. We are a large family visiting our 94-year-old matriarch. The place is convenient to her house in Allison Park, and is convenient to the Strip District, where everyone loves to go holiday shopping. The place is large enough for our family, with plenty of space for congregating.
We had a short stay, but plenty of room for 2 families of four to spread out. The house had everything we needed, and the location was so close to everything Pittsburgh. The neighborhood was also very quiet and peaceful for being so close to the city center.
The place was very clean and exactly as pictured. We had a group of 6 celebrating a graduation, and we all had a very nice pace to sleep and could all hang out, have a nice meal together, and feel comfortable in the space. I'd absolutely return.
We found this at the last minute and lucked out. Lots of space for everyone, furniture and bedding was new.
Plenty of bathrooms and towels. Kitchen was well stocked.
Would stay here again, location was good.
We chose this location as a midpoint for our family to meet. Some from Michigan and some from Virginia. Located in a nice area and the home a perfect set up for 12 of us. Lots of room and all the amenities we needed to feel comfortable. Close to the Strip District which was super fun.
Nice for an extended family. Basement was very cold though in January, and extra blankets would have been good. We won't forget our adventures up and down Rialto Street. Yes it is two-ways.

50th Anniversary family event
Excellent. Perfect setting for the 8 of us (largely mobile) adults over 67. Very clean!Table was great for eating and games. Porch was lovely when the weather cooperated. Beds were good. Good lighting in the living spaces and bedrooms. Access to internet appreciated. We found lots of things to do in Pittsburgh: theater, dinner cruise, Hienz museum, Museum of Illusions,IKEA.Rialto street is an interesting challenge to maneuver.
Big bedroom in basement, 4 bedrooms upstairs, great outdoor space off kitchen. Sleeping arrangements were great with 4 small children. Very, very clean. Great living room to hang out in. Excellent!!
The home worked great for the 8 adults all over 67. We enjoyed being able to eat together around the table or on the porch or play games at the table. Had a great time visiting Pittsburgh attractions: Pittsburgh Theater for “Waitress,”IKEA, Robert Morris University Campus, the Museum of Illusions, the Heinz Museum, the funicular, and the Gateway Clipper dinner cruise.A couple maintenance issues: a tile on the floor of the en-suite bathroom is broken and loose, toilet seats need to be handled with caution, specifically by men.

Met the need
Sleeping arrangements are great for a large group. Bathrooms are small but no issues. Covered back porch is where we spent most of our time. Kitchen was very basic at best and found dirty plates and skillets that we had to clean. Location was close to most everything in Pittsburgh except going up and down the hill was not fun.
My sisters and our families stayed here for a Christmas visit with our 93-year-old mother/grandmother. The house was perfect for our needs - plenty of common space, plenty of parking with a garage for one car, enough beds for twelve. It's in a nice, quiet neighborhood but is very close to the city and accessible to anything you would want to do. Our group took a trip to the incline and museums. We did need to bring extra bedding for a couch, as we had two single people and the house has only double / queen beds. We also brought a space heater, as the basement is next to the garage and gets cold in the winter. We will likely come here again!
My sisters and I and our adult children rented this house for a Christmas visit with our mother, who lives about 20 minutes away. The place was perfect for our needs. There was enough room that we didn't feel cramped. There is plenty of common space, and there were enough bedrooms and beds for all ten of us. The rental process was straightforward and check-in and check-out were very easy. The outdoor patio would be wonderful for a summer visit. We took a long walk down the hill, over the bridge, and into the city - if you're not afraid of climbing hills on the way back, it's a spectacular walk with a lovely view of the city.
We rented the house for family (for our brothers funeral). We were the first renters and many situations occurred but were rectified by owner (but it was stressful on top of our grief).
Owner supplied coffee which was greatly appreciated, both upstairs and downstairs.
Kitchen needs more cookware but all other rooms worked great. Neighbors were friendly and helped us when there was a water main break.
Once you travel “the big hills”, its a great place!

Unsatisfactory Stay
3 issues we had: The first was the inaccessibility of the house (for about 1-1/2 hours) upon arrival. The second was the house was extremely dirty once we did finally gain access. About a half hour after we finally gained access, I received a call from the Guest Contact Darrell who said he “had had a lot going on and it slipped his mind and he thought we were coming in the next day”, none of which excused the condition of the house. He did come over that evening and cleaned for about 2 hours. The third issue was a complete lack of extra linens. We had couch sleepers in our party but there were absolutely no extra linens, blankets, sheets, etc. for use on the couches. We did receive a refund on the cleaning fee but we felt this did not nearly compensate for the inconvenience we experienced.
