Owner Tips:

a) We love Pizzas in the Mist on the main street – the Peking Duck Pizza (with broccoli!) is particularly amazing. Its opening days are patchy though.

b) There are a number of good cafes on the main street, but Moonacres is the local favourite.

c) If you walk down further down Fountaindale Road the view opens up beautifully towards the coast within a few minutes. If you walk down the road for a few more minutes and then turn right onto Maugher’s Lane, you get a variety of beautiful views.

d) The small Robertson Rainforest Walk on South Street is a quick and easy walk- it is beautiful, very close to town and there is often no one there. It gives you a sense of what the local Yarrawa Rainforest was like when it covered the land around Robertson.

e) Just a little further away, Carrington Falls and Belmore Falls are both beautiful. You can swim around Carrington.
There are views from the back balcony across Robertson and down into the Kangaroo Valley - the sunsets from here can be magnificent. They look particularly good with a glass of wine or a slice of cheese, (from the nearby ‘cheese factory’ specialist store perhaps) in your hand. The balcony also looks down onto our own small patch of Robertson’s native Yarrawa Brush temperate rainforest. On the property, there are many grassy areas for strolling or playing as well as other Yarrawa remnants. Somehow there are also two iconic Wollemi pines growing strong near the House too.

In the house itself there an open fireplace (atmosphere plus!) and a combustion stove (atmosphere, plus practicality). The kitchen is fully stocked to create your own country meals, or you can order takeaway from the iconic ‘Pizzas in the Mist’. There are plenty of places to curl up with a book, play a game or watch TV. You may want to explore the local sights of Robertson and the beautiful surrounding area. Or you may just never want to leave.

Either way, we hope you enjoy Applegarth.
