About this property

Casa Ginetou, located in the historic center of Menton, was built in the 1930s. This 2-bedroom 2-bathroom apartment covers 75 square meters on the 2nd floor and also includes a large 30-meter terrace. The apartment is spacious and airy, with high ceilings and good air flow.

The master bedroom is en suite with shower, while the second bathroom has a tub. The second bedroom has a large double bed and a convertible couch. The apartment can therefore sleep 5 adults or 4 adults and 2 children comfortably. The bedrooms are located at opposite ends of the apartment so there is plenty of privacy. Linens are provided.

The kitchen is well-equipped and includes a dishwasher, oven, microwave oven, coffee maker, kettle, blender, toaster, dishes, glasses, utensils, etc. There are dishes and a high chair for infants.

The terrace is decorated with plants (olive and lemon trees, oleander, and bougainvillea) and a lattice screen for privacy. Tables and chairs are available for outdoor meals or relaxing. An automatic awning can be extended for more shade during the day. In the utility room off the terrace there are laundry facilities if needed.

The apartment is very well situated; it is close to the train station, bus station, farmers market, beach, tourism office, shopping street, supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, gardens, casino, and parks. It is also possible to access hiking trails on foot or by bus. Bicycle rental is also easy.

The building does not have its own parking, but free street parking is available on Rue Massena where the apartment is located. It is easy to walk from the train station to the apartment entrance in only 2-3 minutes.

Un lieu de séjour agréable et pratique

L'appartement de la Casa Ginetou est bien situé, près de la gare de Menton et à moins de 15 minutes à pied des points d'intérêt : office de tourisme, centre ville et commerces, halles, vieille ville, bord de mer. Il est confortable et bien équipé (deux salles de bains avec WC). Seul bémol, il n'est pas adapté pour des personnes ayant des difficultés à se déplacer : il y a deux étages hauts à monter par l'escalier pour l'atteindre.

Cet appartement est très bien situé et bénéficie d'une agréable terrasse. L'équipement de la cuisine est très complet. Seuls bémols : l'absence d'ascenseur et un petit manque de suivi sur le fonctionnement des éclairages et de la douche (il nous a cependant été proposé un passage pour vérification lors de notre séjour).

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed four nights in this spacious apartment with lovely terrace located close to the bus and train stations. The apartment was clean, well equipped and communication with Amanda and Kunnika was friendly and efficient. Everything was perfect and we hope to return. Thank you

Hello! Bonjour! My name is Amanda and currently I am based in Rome working on international development. My friend Kunnika, a French Cambodian, lives in Menton and she helps me to manage short term rentals. We are old friends, having met in Cambodia in 1998 when we were both working there.

Why they chose this property

I love Menton and this area so I bought this apartment as a future home. I come to visit from Rome whenever I have a chance. I enjoy the outdoors and the mix of Italian and French language and culture near the border.

What makes this property unique

For me, the best things are having a drink on the terrace at sunset, buying fresh croissants on the corner, and a walk or swim at the beach anytime. The colorful vintage floor tiles from the 1930s charmed me too.
