Fun family outing

The home was perfect for our family outing. Everything was super clean and the home was well stocked. In addition, having the boat dock was incredibly convenient and made it so easy to go fishing in the mornings. We are definitely going to book again in the future.

Clean property, perfect distance from DFW. Brought our dog along and he had a great time. AC is window units and kept the rooms comfortable. Host easy to work with, this is the perfect spot for a spring break getaway!

The property at L a ke Tawakoni is beautiful, comfortable and generally quiet. We loved it! The bed is so comfy! The goats are absolutely delightful.

Our hosts were lovely! They made our stay so pleasant. The setting right on the lake in a little private cove is just beautiful, and the fishing was good. We were able to watch the deer playing in the yard, or sit on the dock and enjoy the birds, turtles and sunshine. It's a magical spot that we were very lucky to be able to enjoy.

Great Weekend get away.

Booked for a weekend get away with the family and loved the porperty. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel comfertable asking about any issues that could arise. The rental it safe was spacious and homey for a group of six.

Clean Home

The small home is very clean and had good air conditioning. That's always a plus in July. The lake access is small but we had enough room for our kayaks. The owners are very nice but they are close.

Lovely Get Away

Gene and Kimberly are fantastic hosts! The space is perfect for an escape from Dallas for a weekend or longer. We had some family join for dinner one night when our boat plans were rained out and they were so accomodating - even going to far as to bring out some toys for my 3 year old nephew. Great space with everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom. Dock was a fun place to stargaze and we launched our kayak the next day from the shore right next to it. Highly recommend!

Fishing our way to 2024

Had a wonderful time fishing at this cabin, The fishing isn't great in the winter from the back of the cove, However, the Owner is super nice and shares with you close areas with good bank fishing access. If you have a boat or a kayak this place is perfect as it is in the back of a protected cove. Also I am sure when the lake is up, this cove probably holds abundance of fish. Will be back soon.

Great little get away

Needed a place get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. And boy did I find that place. Right outside the cabin is a perfect area for a fire. I just felaxed listened to music and looked at the stars. The cabin itself is very comfortable not to big not to small. Now for the fishing off the dock. The hosts were very willing to help me out. I caught a mess of catfish. That I cooked on an open fire. Couldn't really ask for more in a escape from the city.

Excellent location

When we first got to the location we had some minor issues, but they were resolved quickly and efficiently. There had been tons of rain that day before we got there, so the dock and yard were a little flooded. Just a little walk through the water to get to the dock. My wife and I decided to try fishing that evening and we caught some really nice catfish. We ended up catching 5 huge ones that evening. We went out on a charter the next day and had a blast. We didn't get to fish much more after the first day due to the amount of rain we endured but it was still a blast. The only issue I had with the cabin is there was no internet service and our phone service did not work as well. So, we could not make or receive phone calls. I would prefer not to have service, but when you things at home that you need access to your cameras for it helps out a lot. If something were to happen at home we would not have been aware of them until we got service back. Other than that, the hosts were very pleasant people and we enjoyed every bit of our time on the property and would go back in the future.

Beautiful property on a cove. Nice large pier. The cottage is new and spotless. The beds are comfortable The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. The gas grill works and plenty of wood available to use the fire pit. The owners are very nice and accommodating They do have several dogs that are fenced in their front yard Overall our time there was very pleasant
