Experience this newly renovated, conveniently located, beach retreat with a Mediterranean vibe.
Enjoy amazing ocean views from every bedroom, an expansive balcony off the master bedroom and relax in a luxurious ocean-view ensuite bathtub. Situated moments from the sand, this tranquil beach house is perfect for families and beach enthusiasts.
Welcomed with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean as you enter the property where you'll be greeted with an expansive space that will instantly relax and calm your mind. Sit and relax at the kitchen Island whilst you decide on what culinary delights to create; where you'll find everything you need, with new European appliances and all cooking utensils you'll need to cook and bake to your hearts delight.
To the left of the kitchen you'll find the laundry, with a new 14kg washing machine, tumble dryer, tea and coffee (nespresso), sandwich toaster, bread machine, blender, steamer etc. To the right you'll enter into the living room and dining areas, with a couch and large ottoman, inviting you to relax and unwind in front of the TV, and an 8-seater dining table, taking in the views (perfect for Dolphin and Whale spotting). Open one of two sliding doors out into the garden area, welcomed by a BBQ and dining table under the pergola (balcony) providing shade and comfortably seating 8 adults.
Continue down the hallway on the first floor to find a bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower, 3 double bedrooms each providing ocean views:
Bedroom One: Queen-sized bed; Reverse Cycle Air conditioning, chest of drawers and hanging space, a bedside table and shelves.
Bedroom Two: 1 King Single and One Single in the form of a large bunk bed, which can comfortably sleep an adult if required, with reverse cycle airconditioning. There are shelves, hanging space and cupboards with childrens books and toys.
Bedroom Three: Double Bed, Shelves and hanging space. There is no Aircon in this room but there is a Dyson air humidifier/fan for use in the summer and a portable heater in the winter (if required, although we have never felt cold enough for this).
From the main entrance, take the stairs to find the jewel in the crown, the Master Bedroom. As you ascend the stairs you will be welcomed with the reason for being here, full 180-degree views of the water, a few moments taking it all in, and you simply can't help but feel more relaxed.
To the right you can enter onto the large deck, perfect for morning routines such as Yoga, Meditation or just simply your morning brew. Again, the perfect place to relax, unwind and take in all that the views have to offer. To the left you'll find the Queen Sized bed and a cupboard space with shelves and a walk-in robe with a long rail on each side. Next door you'll be welcomed by the Mediterranean-style ensuite, with a separate shower and oversized deep bathtub, providing beach views by day, and the opportunity to stargaze at night (tough choice!).
Next to the bed you'll find a bi-fold door taking you to the balcony, that can be left partially open, but with the fly screen, enabling you to sleep and rise safely to the sound of the ocean. Outside there is plenty of grass space, a fire pit in the winter and sharing circle in the summer, a trampoline and BBQ.
Guests will have access to the entire property, except the garage.
We are based a few hours away in Denmark, however, we will be on call at all times and also have good friends nearby who are able to offer any support or guidance throughout your stay.
There is so much to see and do in the area, we would strongly recommend a visit to the local tourist center, or simply search online for local attractions and events during your stay and book ahead!
Some of our recommendations include:
The Giants of Mandurah: an incredible art installation showcasing large sculptures in the area. You can find one of the Giants nearby, along the coastal track at the rear of the house.
Coastal Track and Swimming: Explore the scenic coastal track, which stretches for over 20kms and situated at the back of the property. Enjoy a leisurely walk or bike ride while taking in the beautiful ocean views. Turn left for the kids park and access to the natural ocean lagoon, which is where we would recommend swimming, or turn right and you’ll arrive at Dotti’s beach (mentioned below) with Tods Café, which is recommended (especially the big breakfast).
Local Skate Park: Recently expanded and located at nearby Halls Park.
Dolphin Watching: From the comfort of the house you can spot dolphins in the nearby waters, although you have a better chance of seeing one at the local park in Henry Sutton Grove, where it is popular to Kayak, Paddle Board, Swim and take advantage of the natural shade and free BBQ’s. You could also consider booking a dolphin-watching tour in Mandurah.
Local Parks and Picnic Spots: Enjoy the following nearby parks and picnic spots: • Doddi's Beach Park: A lovely park with picnic facilities, playgrounds, and beach access. Located at Doddi's Beach Park. • Halls Head Recreation Reserve: A spacious park with BBQ areas, picnic tables, and walking trails. Located at Halls Head Recreation Reserve. • Peelwood Reserve: A serene park with a lake, picnic spots, and nature trails. Located at Peelwood Reserve. There are so many parks to choose from nearby that you can simply go in any direction and you will find one. We often did this with the kids and always found a new one within minutes.
Foreshore and Shopping: Explore Mandurah's beautiful foreshore area for shopping and independent local shops. You'll find a variety of stores and boutiques, as well as one of four shopping centres within a 5 minute drive in most directions from the house. Dawesville Grocers Market (foreshore reserve) is also a great visit, every Saturday with a range of local culinary delights, butchers, bakers and candlestick makers!
Restaurants and Bars: • Flics Kitchen: Enjoy a delightful dining experience at Flics Kitchen, known for its modern Australian cuisine and waterfront views. Reservation recommended. • Brewvino: Indulge in fine food and wine at Brewvino. Try their slow-roast Lamb or Beef, but make sure to book ahead as it's first come, first serve! • Catch 22: A popular seafood restaurant with waterfront views. • The Pen: Enjoy a range of craft beers, cocktails, and live music. Silk Thai, which is in our opinion the best in the area, I’d advise booking ahead, especially on Weekends and during peak season.
Bars and Nightlife: • Experience the lively atmosphere at Murphy's Irish Pub, offering traditional Irish food, drinks, and live entertainment. • Brighton Hotel: A beachfront hotel with a relaxed vibe, offering a range of drinks and pub-style food. Visit Brighton Hotel for a casual evening. • The Pipers Inn would be considered the local, which is a Scottish Bar, serving Traditional food and pints of Guinness, Carlsberg, Kilkenny etc.
