Tucked into a bend of the peaceful Mangaotaki Stream, River Song Cabin is a beautifully crafted 35m² retreat ideal for couples or small families seeking seclusion, comfort, and connection. Surrounded by rolling hills and dramatic limestone cliffs, it’s the ultimate escape — any time of year, in any weather.



Inside, you’ll find a luxurious four-poster king bed, a cozy built-in sleeping nook with high ceiling and window (sleeps up to three extras in a double and single beds), and a spacious double indoor shower. Outside, soak in the double outdoor bath, swing from the tree swing, or play in the river with 2 kayaks and a sea biscuit.



Every inch of this cabin has been personally designed by us with our guests’ ultimate holidays in mind — a place where comfort, charm and nature come together. We’ve even created a 10-day curated adventure guide filled with the best things to see and do from here — most of which we’ve experienced ourselves and love to share.

Such a wonderful adventure

This is a special, one of a kind place. Nestled among a sheep farm and a river. Turkeys come by in the morning. Cows are watching all day. You feel complete privacy and have a stellar view to the beautiful surroundings as 2 walls are completely windows. Think of it as a magical camping experience with a luxury bed and shower. Every little special touch just adds to the charm. There is no dishwasher or oven, hence the camping feel. Plan to barbecue and make simple one pot meals and you will be in total heaven. My husband even caught trout down by the bridge

Located on the riverbanks of the stunning Mangaotaki River, this Zen-like location is surround by rolling farmland and towering hobbit bluffs. There's so many day trips to be had from Ripples that you can easily holiday here for more than a week.
