From the moment you dock at The Anchor, you will be impressed with this superbly appointed gem in the heart of beautiful Callala Beach. The near constant glorious weather in the Shoalhaven means you can enjoy meals on the outdoor dining table, with lunch prepared in the kitchen and cooked on the huge BBQ outside. Tastefully and comfortably designed, this unique outdoor space resembles a wharf with it's log and rope finishes, so you'll really feel immersed in peaceful coastal holiday vibes!
Cool off inside in the air-conditioned living room (or stay warm in cooler weather in front of the combustion fire) and watch Netflix or battle it out over board games with the family. Burn off some energy outside running around with your furry friends in the fully-fenced backyard, playing table tennis on the deck, or grab some towels and walk just five minutes down the road to Callala Beach and enjoy the crystal clear water and white sands of Jervis Bay, rinsing off the sand in the outdoor shower or the three indoor showers when you return.
The Anchor sleeps up to eleven guests with three super cosy rooms in the main house, a sofa bed in the living area and also boasts a separate studio containing a queen bed, air-conditioning, kitchenette and ensuite. You'll find this is the ideal retreat for families with teens or couples wanting a little extra space of their own. When it's time to chill, take the portable Bluetooth speaker outside for tunes and a few drinks on the back deck while you enjoy the sea breeze, or for some solo relaxing time, why not take a book out to the beautiful front lawn and lie out in the sun? There’s a second TV outside on the fully covered deck and another in the separate studio suite, so everyone can have their choice of programs.
Watch the sun set every night as you gather around the fire pit in the backyard roasting marshmallows under the stars. Jervis Bay has endless coastlines to enjoy, and plenty of local attractions to explore. The options are limitless no matter how you prefer to holiday, and The Anchor will truely be your home away from home as you explore one of the most stunning locales in the country.

The house was very nice and comfortable. Beds and bedrooms comfortable and spacious. The outdoor area was especially great. Only problem was lack of enough sheets - 3 phone calls, two texts and a visit to the office of Professional Holiday Homes did not result in the sheets we needed.

House is beautiful just like picture . The house has everything you could think of . The washing machine was great. The back area is amazing and so comfortable.
Cleaning would have been five rating. However, the dishwasher needs to be cleaned out . We could not use it due to the smell . The rest of the house was very clean. Would highly recommend.

The Anchor at Callala Beach was an outstanding property, filled with all the essentials and many of the "would love to have" items that made for the perfect beach getaway!I would go back in a heartbeat and would highly recommend this property to anyone, whether they are travelling solo, with a partner or with an entire family or two! The outdoor living area was incredible and provided ample space, shade and facilities to basically live outside for the entire day. The owners should be congratulated on putting together such a great property.The two minor cleanliness issues we encountered were reported to the managers and I don't believe they are likely to affect any future stays.Definitely book it if you like the look of the pictures, it is even better in person!

This is a fantastic house with great spaces to relax and recreate. My elderly parents were able to join us for part of our stay in a self contained granny flat. Just 4 suggestions to make this perfect: 1. The main bedroom needs an A/C 2. The granny flat hot water in the shower is dangerously intermittent 3. It needs proper narrow tea and coffee cups. 4. The Tesla wall charger did not work on our MG ZS EV.

What makes this property unique
The Anchor is a beautiful, relaxing place to be. The yard is fully fenced and is perfect for any sized furry companion. The full length driveway allows large boats to be securely washed and stored behind lockable gates at the rear of the property, near the Studio, Outdoor Shower and Fire Pit.
The huge, fully under cover Deck is the perfect entertaining space with comfortable seating, 75" smart TV, BBQ and table tennis table.
The Studio provides a relaxed and very private space located well away from the main House.
In the main house the Main Bedroom is spacious, with a large walk in robe, vaulted ceilings, garden outlook, ensuite, and is set back from the other bedrooms and living spaces.
The comfortable lounge and dining room includes a wood fired slow combustion heater. The kitchen has a very practical layout around a restored timber island bench.
Access to the property is very easy, with a separate car space off the driveway, together with unlimited street parking.
The Anchor is located in a quiet street, with a lovely flat 380m stroll via Sir Henry Crescent to the best end of beautiful Callala Beach. It is also very close to Curambene Creek and Myola Boat Ramp.
