We enjoyed our stay at the lovely cottage. Peaceful and beautiful historic town with downtown within walking distance. Slept good and great shower, gorgeously decorated with everything we needed. Highly recommend this place if in the area.
Google street view helped us the most to find the house. It's back off of the main road so it wasn't obvious that we were in the right place, and we had to look around to find the correct opening in the fence to access the back of the property. The house is a cute, older, Southern cottage. The heat worked well and it was clean. I never had to contact the host, but I had their contact info and I knew they we nearby if I needed them. It was nice that it was back away from the main house.
The cottage was as described, in a lovely private setting, well behind the main house in a very walkable neighborhood of lovely, historic homes close to Washington square. We especially loved the big porch!
Greatest Little Place in the Greatest Little Town!
We will absolutely be returning to this rental. The owners were so accommodating and helpful. The rental itself if absolutely adorable. The king bed is very, very comfortable. We had our teen daughters with us and they stayed in the upstairs bedroom. It was the perfect size for us. The grounds outside the rental are adorable as it is situated behind a historic home. Such a wonderful stay in such a special little town!
This property is exactly how it is described. It is peaceful, clean and charming.
Communication with the host was clear and prompt. We were in town for UGA’s graduation. (The campus is an hour from this location.)
It was a relaxing oasis from the flurry of graduation activities.
When we arrived we were told VRBO double booked the cottage so there was a problem. We went to the cottage and waited for the owner to call. She asked Evolve to call and ask if we would accept a refund. We agreed and now find we are being charged a service fee for a mistake made by your company. We demand a full refund without having to jump through hoops and not paying a service fee.

Hi Becky, we always want our guests to feel confident when booking with us, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your review, and they wanted to share the following:- We understand how disappointing it was to have your trip interrupted, and we’re truly sorry the booking was impacted by a double-booking error.- Once we became aware of the issue, we acted quickly by reaching out with a refund offer, which was accepted at the time.- As for the service fee, that is managed directly by Vrbo and is separate from the refund processed for the reservation itself. We understand how frustrating that can be, and encourage reaching out to Vrbo support for clarification. Thanks again for your feedback. We know how important a smooth travel experience is and are committed to improving wherever we can.

Quiet and Peaceful
Great place tucked back behind the owner's house. Not a large place but very comfortable. Wi-fi was a little spotty. I would stay there again. Thanks!
My sister and I take mini-vacays about once a year, and this trip was centered around visiting the gorgeous Mary Willis Library. We thought the chapel would be a neat place to stay...and we were right! Ellon has done an amazing job decorating the chapel with beautiful furniture and cozy touches. Everything we needed was there, and the beds were SO comfortable! The entire property was so well-appointed and designed for comfort!
