If you just need a place to sleep & shower, this location did that. However, in all respect to the owners, this house is not yet fit for guests who need air conditioning, will be cooking (microwave & stove), having coffee from the keurig, or drying their hair. None of these things can be done at the same time as another. Truly. When we first got there it was terribly hot inside & we turned on the AC units both down & upstairs. In the kitchen, a separate space from the AC units, I turned on the keurig to run a couple cups of water threw it as the reservoir water was a little cruddy. Turning on the keurig knocked out the power. We had 5 ladies in this stay and while one was showering on our second day, another was drying their hair, the power tripped and the lights went out in the shower bathroom (with no other light source). We also had an issue with the toilets. The downstairs toilet would gurgle & splash up on the seat when the upstairs toilet was flushed (not every time however). In addition to this, & again not every time, but it happened often, if the initial flush did not work, we walked away & came back to flush it later. This worked fine until Sunday morning when the toilet overflowed when we returned to flush it later. The owner Tim was receptive but I was a little insulted when I received a "no feminine product sign" (which we did not do) & a video after our departure of a perfectly flushing toilet. As if I had lied about the toilet not working properly.

From the owner: "Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand the home’s electrical system requires some care when using multiple appliances at once, and we do our best to communicate this to guests. While occasional plumbing quirks can happen, we've had many guests stay before and after your visit who did not experience these issues and left positive reviews. The follow-up message was intended to clarify what we observed during our inspection, not to question your experience. We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective."

House & ELECTRICITY needs lots of updating…
This house had a nice partial view of powers like, a pretty yard & a lot of potential. But it needs a ton of updating! The furniture is very mismatched. Part of the couch was broken so we couldn’t sit on that end. The kitchen lacked some essentials for cooking like a spatula & a frying pan & TOASTER should be added to the mix. The upstairs twin beds still have the plastic on them from being purchased and that was horrible because they rattled all night long. Take those off and replace them with some inexpensive mattress covers that don’t make noise all night long while you’re sleeping. There were spiders in a lot of the corners of the bathrooms and many of the plates & cups were dirty when you took them out of the cupboard. So you had to wash them before you use them. So whoever’s cleaning the property isn’t really , checking the cupboards. Scariest thing was the electricity situation, they have the wrong type of fuses in their fuse box and when we had the microwave on & the air conditioner at the same time, the fuse blew. Luckily our friend knows how to fix houses and , when she checked it, she said it was very unsafe because they had a 25 amp fuse in where a 30 amp fuse belongs & it was the old-fashioned kind of fuse box. If she hadn’t been with us, we wouldn’t have known what to do or how to fix that. So I’m not sure if an owner ever checks on the property, it does have a lot of potential, but it needs some serious updating.Get rid of the dusty flowers &scary dolls too!

Hi Lois, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The home is thoroughly cleaned before each guest's arrival to ensure a comfortable stay. We want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our property seriously. - The electrical issue you encountered has been professionally resolved by a licensed electrician.- To prevent any future issues, we encourage guests to please avoid plugging the microwave and A/C unit into the same outlet, as this can cause an overload.- While we regret our home was not up to your expectations, we’re happy to share that our most recent guests reported no issues. - We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have a wonderful stay!
