Perfect home and location
This home was walking distance to downtown, restaurants and breweries and beautifully appointed. Exactly what we wanted for our time in Palmer. Would rent again!
Beautiful home! We really enjoyed our stay in Palmer. We had a fire in the back yard almost every night and loved the zipline! This place is close to everything.
Perfect layout for big groups or families and the location cannot be beat: in addition to being walkable to all the shops and restaurants in downtown Palmer, there is an amazing Lekker coffee shop and bakery right across the street. Kids loved the basement and backyard and firepit. Highly recommend for any visitors to Palmer!
If you are considering a stay in Palmer and want a high quality home, best location and room for everyone, Stop your search and book this property. I have stayed at three different homes in Palmer and hands down would stay here again first above the others. Want a bonus? The owner/manager is absolutely the best around.
Everything was exactly like the description. It was a perfect place for our youth group to stay while we attended a conference. Kitchen had everything we needed for our group and the beds were comfortable- even the hide-a-bed in the master bedroom.
We had a great stay in Palmer at Shelley’s house! We were a family of 9 and all fit comfortably. It’s new, well decorated, bright, comfy, and very close to downtown Palmer. Would highly recommend staying here!
Perfect location and home for a large family. Close to shopping and activities. Home owner very kind and accommodating. Fun play area outside for little kids and a great little zip line the older kids and young adults. Great hike that begins right across the street and an ice cream shop within walking distance. We definitely recommend this property.

Family time for a family wedding in Palmer
Perfect location and home for a large family. Close to shopping and activities. Home owner very kind and accommodating. Fun play area outside for little kids and a great little zip line the older kids and young adults enjoyed. Great hike that begins right across the street and an ice cream shop within walking distance. We definitely recommend this property.
Bright open space. Loved everything about it. Loved the decor! Every room was inviting and perfect for us to lounge and visit and play games. The kitchen was fully stocked. The breakfast island is a great gathering spot. All the beds and linens were exceptional.
Great accommodations; clean and crisp decor. There were several extra things that made it convenient for our group: fans in every rooom, a pak n play, baby gate, and a zip line in the back was a hit with the teens. The owner was easy to communicate with and answered any questions promptly.
Nicest VRBO we’ve stayed at! Shelley had everything from coffee to shampoo to condiments. Place is brand new nice and clean. Shelley checked on us to make sure we had what we needed. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you!
Nicely renovated and furnished.
We arrived on one of the warmest days in the summer. The upper story was very warm and window screens were not present in every room. The owner brought by brand new fans and we were comfortable for the rest of the stay.
Only one small glitch- shower hot water didn’t work and Shelly was awesome repairing it the next morning , but only one of 8 of us got a hot shower before we had to depart.
I traveled to Palmer from Nome with some friends and our 9-11 year old boys to visit the state fair. This house was perfect for us! Very clean, much more spacious than we anticipated, and was in a great location. Walked to the Palmer Ale House one night, and walked over to the historic railroad trail to the Matanuska River. There are pull out beds in almost every room for more sleeping space if needed. Had fun playing old records on the record player and putting together puzzles at night.
While the outside may look a bit unkept, don't let that discourage you. The inside is very nice! This is one of the best stocked kitchens I've ever seen at this type of rental unit. Well stocked in terms of cookware, silverware, plates and glasses/cups, as well as spices. All of the bedrooms were of decent size - two of them very spacious. There were a couple minor issues but all resolved within 24 hours. Easy walking to shopping and restaurants available in Palmer.
This was our first trip to Alaska, and staying at the Serene Palmer Home made it truly unforgettable. The home exceeded our expectations in every way and was the perfect setting for our large family gathering during a special wedding weekend. With 10 siblings and our parents, finding a place that accommodates everyone comfortably isn’t easy—but this home delivered. The spacious layout allowed us to gather, cook meals together, and enjoy the stunning mountain views from the windows. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals for a big group, and the overall cleanliness of the home was outstanding. The location is ideal—just minutes from grocery stores and gas stations, which made running errands quick and convenient. On top of that, the host was incredibly friendly and checked in to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We’ve already saved this spot for future family trips—it was that good. Highly recommend this home to anyone visiting Palmer or the surrounding area!
