Everything about the house was wonderful! It was beautiful, clean, and spacious. We had everything we needed to enjoy our fall family visit to the Ellijay area. My grandson and I especially enjoyed the bumper pool table and everyone enjoyed making s'mores around the fire. The yard was nice and big and well maintained. The view from the house was amazing...we were able to watch the deer come down from the opposite side of the river to drink and we watched the geese fly up the river and float back down. The listing was accurate and just what we expected. We would love to return in the summer to enjoy the river. The only possible drawback of this property is the steepness of the driveway but as long as people are aware and prepared, it will not diminish the enjoyment of this property.

Family Holiday Getaway

This cabin is beautiful, spacious, and right on the river. It was a great, peaceful place for our family to stay, and we really enjoyed ourselves. There were a few drawbacks that I think people should be very aware of. First, the driveway is extremely steep with two banked turns. The steepest slope is 22 degrees!! That’s a roughly 40.4% grade. If you are not used to driving in the mountains and/or you do not have an all wheel drive vehicle, I would not recommend staying here. Second, if you are coming in the winter just be aware that the basement where two bedrooms are located is very cold. There was not a thermostat to adjust the temperature on that level. Third, the neighbors let their dogs roam off leash and they come right into this yard. Even with our dogs on leashes, we still felt uncomfortable at times with their dogs appearing territorial. Overall, we loved the cabin, but we would choose to stay somewhere else in the future.
