A vintage vacation awaits you. 32 mi offshore on America's emerald isle, Beaver Island. Unspoiled. Unhurried. Unbelievable! The island is 55 square miles of gravel roads and rustic beauty. When you come to the island, you are getting away from the conveniences that city life offers and enjoying the benefits and beauty of the natural world. Take the ferry or plane from Charlevoix to experience paradise.

Beautiful, comfortable, spacious and relaxing 1 bedroom/1 bathroom guesthouse on north end of the island. Wifi. There is a smart Roku TV for streaming your online accounts, but there is no cable. Very clean and comfortable. Enjoy this quiet corner of the island, still close to town but tucked away in a wooded area. Newly built in 2017. Solid hickory floors throughout. Queen bed in the bedroom, and a queen pull out sofa in living room. Lots of seating in the living space. The kitchen has everything you need for living at home (except a dishwasher.) The apartment is located above our garage and has a separate entrance and deck. Enjoy being outdoors using the fire pit (wood bundles available for purchase at the hardware store) and gas grill. You are a short walk away from lake Michigan where you can take in the sunrise and sunset. The space is located 2 miles from town and also 2 miles from Donegal Bay, which is a wonderful beach for swimming and sunsets. Check in is at 3:00 p.m. and check out is at 10:00 a.m.

I do recommend having a car to explore the island. If you choose to bring your own vehicle over contact bibco.com (Beaver Island Boat Company) for ferry schedule and rates. You can bring your car over on the ferry and will need to make a reservation for it. They start taking reservations in January and summer dates fill up quickly as there is limited space for cars. There are two places to rent cars on the island...
Burton car rentals (they also rent electric bikes) 231-838-2883.
Duffy's car rental 231-448-3132.
Keep in mind that these are individuals who rent cars, not car companies. Our island is very dusty with its gravel roads, you may not have the same type of car rental experience that you do on the mainland. Call ahead for reservations.
The island is 13 miles long and 6 miles wide. If you are content in walking and relaxing in town, you will still have an enjoyable time. Rent bikes, kayaks or paddle boards in town and enjoy spending time on the water.

The Starry Night guesthouse is wonderful, and the hosts are lovely! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The guesthouse was warm and inviting and had all the comforts of home. And the hosts were so gracious they made us feel like family. We will definitely be back to stay here again...and to enjoy more of beautiful Beaver Island.

Beautiful spot! Wonderful hosts

This was a wonderful place to stay. The property was beautiful and remote- but close enough to bike around the island and into town. The hosts were easy to interact with and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. We will definitely be back.

Home away from home

Loved staying at this guesthouse. It has everything you need and feels very cozy. 2 miles away from the town. Super easy check in process and lots of beautiful trails and points of interests close by.

Great Getaway on Beaver Island

Bryan and Becca were very welcoming. The car rental was a plus. Their place was very clean, recently remodeled and they had the best smelling sheets and towels... made it feel homey. Beaver Island is a beautiful, special place. We'd love to come back!

Perfect Getaway!

We had an amazing and relaxing little get away at Beaver Island. Becca was so kinda and accomodating with anything we needed. Everything we needed to get to was an easy short bike ride away. The property was beautiful and we felt right at home.

Becca and Bryan’s property could not be more perfect. It was clean, cozy, comfortable and felt very private. We appreciated all of the maps with island highlights called out for guests to reference. Peaceful and beautiful location. Lovely and easy bike ride to town. We attended the Beaver Island Music Festival which was an amazing experience. Our hosts Becca and Brian are very involved in the community and are the best resources for anything and everything!

We had a great stay! It’s not far from town and we did bring our car. It’s quiet and we personally enjoyed not having contact with the host. We are quieter people and enjoyed that. I definitely felt like if we needed anything they were right there as well. Thanks for the stay!

Our stay at "Starry Night" was delightful! Special thanks to Becca and Brian for making it easy; they excelled in communication and were MORE than accommodating! They offered to help with kayak, provided LOTS of info about Beaver Island and were warm and inviting! The accommodations were exactly as advertised! I would recommend it highly for a Beaver Island visit!

Beautiful and relaxing getaway!

Bryan and Becca were great hosts! They made the check in and out process as easy as it could possibly be, and they were always easy to reach over the phone. The guest house had everything we needed - all we had to bring was our standard luggage and a few groceries. The house was very very clean and thoughtfully decorated. They also included a basket of maps, pamphlets, and more for us to really make the most of our trip. Overall, we simply couldn't have asked for a better stay. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!

Quaint and quiet

Our stay was very nice and our hosts were great as well. Turn off the lights at night inside and step out onto the porch and look at the stars. It’s an unreal experience for someone who lives near a major city to see all of the stars!

We just left Beaver Island this morning and already miss it. We had a great stay. The apartment was very nice, clean and comfortable. Bryan and Becca were great hosts. Fantastic location for peace and rest

The spacious and well appointed apartment is above Becca and Bryan's double garage and is fully contained and stand alone - full privacy. There is a dedicated deck on which we spent many hours. There is also access to a fire pit, which we could not leverage given burn restrictions on the island when we were there. This space was what we needed to unwind and relax!

Starry Nights

The apartment was very clean. All necessary utensils, table settings, pots, pans, and glasses were available and in place. Also bedding and plenty of towels were available. Bicycles, canoes and kayaks were there for our use. The apartment was close to stores, restaurants, and beaches, but was tucked away in a quiet, forested area. A very welcoming place to stay.

You’ll thank your lucky stars

Starry Night was very accommodating and although it is an upper room- we never felt like our privacy was compromised. Delightful space with beautiful aesthetics. Grateful for the use of bikes to get around during our 2 night stay- close proximity to the Lake for star gazing and sunsets or sunrises! Becca was very helpful and even gave me a small screw to repair my sunglasses! Would definitely recommend their spot for a couples retreat or family of four.

Becca and Bryan's place is stellar!! It has everything you need and it's in a prime location. It's cozy, clean, inviting, close to town, near the beach, surrounded by woods, and has several amenities. We used the fire pit (wood provided!), the bbq grill (propane provided!), and enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony every morning. I also really appreciated the fan in the bedroom window and the ceiling fans. I highly recommend this rental and I hope to stay here again in the future!

This place was ADORABLE and very comfortable. Thoughtfully decorated with plenty of seating. Great air flow, even on a very warm summer weekend. Clean & well-stocked kitchen. The location was great- close enough to town to bike back and forth and close to sunset beach. Becca was very helpful and friendly.
