About this property
Gorgeous new Ocean View Studio Suite at The Cottage at the Cove Telegraph Cove
Enjoy spectacular ocean views at The Cottage at the Cove Studio Suite. You just might see Killer Whales, Humpback Whales, the odd Minke Whale, Dolphins, Porpoises, Sea Lions, and Sea Otters swimming by. There are also Bald Eagles, Deer and more that you can see right from the comfort of your room. Some of the most gorgeous sunsets ever are able to be seen from the oversize windows designed to capture the views of the ocean and mountains. The suite was completed in May 2024 and features high 8'3" ceilings throughout the unit. The cabinets are topped with luxurious quartz counters, residential fridge/freezer, stove, oven, microwave and all you need to bring in is your food and drink. If you don't feel like cooking the Killer Whale Cafe and the Saltery Pub offer great food and drinks and they are only a short walk from your room. The bathroom features an oversized shower with porcelain tiles and glass rolling shower door. The property and suite is tastefully decorated with the ocean in mind with nice touches like nautical pictures and ornaments, real used fish net floats, old weathered rope and old rough boards and logs from Telegraph Cove. There is a permanent queen bed and if you need additional bedding , we just added a sofa "Hide a Bed" for an extra couple adults or children. We are located a short walk from the Historic Telegraph Cove in the residential area, but far enough away to be very quiet and relaxing. It is close to many walking trails and a short drive to a few local lakes up in the mountains. There is a private barbecue area with a table and chairs for those evenings you want to take in the views and fresh air. The suite has free parking for your vehicle and also free wifi. You can stream on the large new flat screen TV. If you are looking for Bear, whale and nature watching we can connect you with the right people. If you are looking for world class fishing, whale watching and Grizzly Bear Watching, Telegraph Cove is where you want to be. We are the Gateway to the Broughton Archipelago, BC's largest marine park and the mountains offer some of the most incredible wildlife for your viewing pleasure. If you are looking to charter a private luxury cruise around the area or a fishing adventure we have a brand new 2825 Kingfisher boat loaded with amenities including a private bathroom with flush toilet, heated cabin, fridge, dinette area and all the latest in electronics and safety gear. We have binoculars on board and a high end non skid back deck for viewing the scenery and wildlife. The captain has over 40 years experience in the area and plans to be fully licensed for the 2025 season. We highly recommend you book a Tide Rip Grizzly Adventure Tour as well as Prince Of Whales, Whale watching. They are both first class companies that provide a memorable experience. Come join us at what is our favourite place on earth.

About the host
Hosted by Joanne Edwards

The first time I came to Telegraph Cove was 40 years ago. We fell in love with the place and now live here full time. Joanne and I love watching whales, dolphins, seals, sea lions, sea otters and Bald Eagles. We also love exploring the Broughton Archipelago BC's largest marine park and cruising the inlets and finding new places we have never been. The fishing is world class including salmon, halibut, ling cod, rock cod and we also enjoy prawning and crabbing.
Why they chose this property
We are only a few minutes walk from the Historic Telegraph Cove and the restaurant and pub, whale museum and store yet far enough away to be just a little more relaxing.
What makes this property unique
We have nautical landscaping, ocean views of Johnstone Strait and breath taking sunsets. There is a number of Bald Eagles who hang out in the tall trees just waiting for their dinner to come to the surface.
