Sea Rose Suite - Meredith Lodging
You’ll feel like you have Depoe Bay all to yourself with a stay in the incredible oceanfront Sea Rose Suite, an adorable haven perched on the edge of the ocean for astonishing views of waves and wildlife. Petite, romantic, and perfect for a retreat for two to celebrate an anniversary or honeymoon, this studio looks down into the sea and across to the sandstone cliffs at the north end of the bay. Furnished with antiques, including a queen bed with an ocean view, an electric fireplace, a TV, and two wingback chairs aimed at the sea, Sea Rose Retreat is both cozy and nostalgic. A table for two and a compact kitchenette (a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, toaster, and sink) assures you can enjoy takeout or breakfast—not to mention the many dining choices a half-block away. The bath has a pretty, large pebbled walk-in shower for two.
Your outdoor patio sits right at the ocean's edge, so you can relax in Adirondack chairs around a fire pit as waves wash the basalt rocks, and at times, whales come to the shore less than 60 feet from you. Eagles, seabirds, and shorebirds are frequent visitors, and you’ll have a private view that belies your location at the edge of town and the popular seawall. Cross the road, and you’ll have shops and dining galore; walk to the harbor for exciting views of boats slipping through the channel. Book a whale-watching trip, enjoy a sumptuous seafood dinner at Tidal Raves just one block away, and sip local roast at Left Coast Coffee—you’ll find plenty to do right out the door, but you will have a hard time leaving this piece of paradise!
