Carlotta + Gee French Linen bedding has been chosen to ensure you sleep in sublime comfort every night.
Located an hour from Canberra and an hour from the beautiful beaches of the NSW South Coast, Nelly's Cottage can give you the best of city, country and beach life. Please note that although there are two fireplaces in the house neither of them is in use until further notice.

If your event starts before the 2pm check in time we strongly recommend booking the night before. Thank you for your understanding.

About the host
Hosted by Nelly

We’re a married Australian couple who absolutely love to travel and stay in homes rather than hotels where we can. The experience of “living like a local” makes our trips memorable and unique. We’re always planning our next trip!!
Why they chose this property
Braidwood's heritage charms are beautifully balanced with the area's contemporary art galleries, luxurious B&Bs and chic wineries. You'll find friendly locals, beautiful shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs and the occasion wombat crossing the road. It’s close to Canberra - boasting an international airport - and the NSW south coast where you’ll find pristine beaches (and probably us during the summer months!).
What makes this property unique
Our cottage was built circa 1865 which makes it one of the oldest original houses in town. Being old she comes with some quirks but this is what makes her unique and beautiful. When you step inside you can feel the warmth of 160 years of history. Beautifully renovated we’ve chosen to keep the original pale green Royal Doulton bathtub as a nod to her origins.
Situated in a cul de sac at the end of the Main Street the cottage is located in an area that can never be developed. Occasionally the cows will come down to say hello and if you’re really lucky you’ll spot a wombat wandering around or a platypus in the nearby creek. Peak Australiana!!
