I stay here on occasion when the hotels close to Mall of Africa are booked out. Especially if you're here for a business week the Ellipse appartments is a really good alternative. Easy quick walk to Mall of Africa if one needs something. Safe compound. There's even a completely fine restaurant right one the premises (Olives & Plates). I also like the fact that they have a laundry machine in the appartment which is hand if I am on a longer trip. The one and only thing you need to know is that as a non-resident you have to enter/exit down at the roundabout by the garage entrance. The pin code system can be a pain sometime. Highly reccomen to keep connected with the hosta on WhatsApp. They respond very fast so help is always close to come.
