The hotel is way past due for a remodel. The room was not what we paid for. It smelled old and musty. It was a nonsmoking room and still smelled like smoke. The laundry smelled and was thin. There was mold in the tub and on the shower curtain. Worst stay I have ever had. I would not put my dog in this room.
The first room we got had water damage. The gentleman who checked us in was wonderful and pleasant, but the beds were uncomfortable and the room smelled of smoked.

Good stay in the area
We arrived about 15 minutes after midnight, and the staff was very accommodating. I called twice to let them know of my late arrival and they were very sweet about it.
The room was clean and neat but somewhat dated showing some wear and tear on the carpeting. The bed covers had a few wear marks/holes, but the linens were clean and the bed was perfectly comfortable. Pillows were fine and plentiful. Bathroom was clean and the towels were soft.
For our $39.00 per night-we were fine with everything.
Breakfast was good - would have preferred some "meat" with it, but again - you get what you pay for, so we weren't surprised nor disappointed.
All in all, we would definitely go there again. It was close to everything we wanted to see. Very convenient and the price was just right.
My stay at Days Inn Williamsburg Colonial area was by far my worst hotel/motel/inn
experience! The cable box did not work and the wifi was unreliable, so we could not watch tv or movies for 2 days. A crib was available for free as advertised, but we were given a pack 'n play that was filthy to say the least. Also, the bath linens we received were disgusting on both days! Several wash cloths had stains and we could clearly see makeup and hair left on two towels. At checkout, I received a bill that was almost double what I was supposed to pay. This was due to an employee oversight. However, Mr. Dwayne was extremely helpful in handling the issue. I strongly recommend anyone to look elsewhere in order to be the least bit comfortable!
The front desk hostess did not acknowledge us as we entered, she simply continued with her personal phone conversation. I pass her my I.D. and credit card, she handed me the key to my room.
The floor was not clean, tobacco ashes everywhere, in a non-smoking room.
The bed was not made, had imprint of someone head lying on the pillow, and the covers were pulled up over the sheets.
A single set of towels for two adults
Our room clearly was not cleaned well. From the dirty blanket on the bed we didn't use to the sink and tub that had not been touched. Very little worked. Most notably, all ice machines were broken and we could not connect our phones to the WIFI, though we could navigate the log in process with our laptop. The staff (one young person) was annoyed when I asked questions, because they had to pause their phone call. There are many options in Williamsburg. Stay somewhere else.
I had a wonderful experience at the Days Inn in Williamsburg the place was clean the service was great but the only problem was my last day for the continental breakfast the coffee machine was not working
I stayed at Days Inn Colonial Williamsburg while visiting the Revolutionary Triangle. The price was very reasonable. Location was great, easy to find and plenty of eateries, pharmacies, grocery stores, etc. around. Plenty of free parking. Decent property upkeep. Safe location. Check in was very efficient. Staff friendly and professional. Room and bathroom were clean. Bed comfortable. Linens clean. Nice hot shower. TV with decent channels. There was coffee/tea maker in the room. No fridge or microwave. There was a complimentary breakfast but I did not partake of this so I cannot comment on that. This was a nice, decent place to stay and would consider staying here if ever in the area again.
The only good thing was the bed, it was comfy. Thank God I take my own coffee packs, sugar & cream cause there was none in there the except for the last day. When we used the shampoo it never got replaced. One face cloth for 2 people. The breakfast was the worst we've ever seen at a Days Inn.
Towels were very hard. Only had one wash cloth at first. Room had an unpleasant smell. Over all appearance was dark and dingy. Pillows looked as if someone had slept on some of them. Biggest disappointment was the internet not working for approximately 75% of the time I was there. Even after calling the front desk twice. I had a lot of work I had planned to get done but couldn't due to lack of internet. Won't stay here again.

Booked nonsmoking and got smoking
I paid extra to guarantee a nonsmoking room, but when I arrived Hotels.com actually had booked me a smoking room. Luckily there were nonsmoking rooms available. The staff was really nice about changing rooms. The breakfast was a little bare bones compared to what I'm used to at a Days Inn, but it was fine for a one night stay.
You "get what you pay for" here. You get a small room, old linens, and a bath that makes you wish you'd brought shower shoes. Long story short, it's a total dive but it's within easy walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg and William and Mary. Life is too short... next time, I'll stay in a nicer place and pay for the Uber!
