We traveled with a 6 month old baby and had a really great stay at Sarna Residence. The house was charming, pretty surrounding and walking distance to San Quirico d'orcia, which we used a lot. Would love to come back.

Great Apt in Val d'Orcia

Spacious and easy walk to the center, restaurant.and groceries nearby. Nice rustic feel. Homey. Stayed here 5 nights. The town itself has some nice restaurants and good amenities but pretty small- this location, however, makes for a great base for exploring the area.

After a rocky start I leave my 3 nights stay at Sarna Residence with a traste of pity. Great bullying (battooms should be bigger!) in an charming lot with a garden ando pool well design, you go away with nobody to say at least :" bye, ci vediamo....have a nice trip". Very odd for a family managed property. Trully. Even when I leave my usual 4 Stars hotel in front of Trafalgar Square ("Page8") they come to the door and give us a proper and kind farewell. Very unusual such little care of a guest. I'm not un the hospitality business, but chating with other guest around my age wey all agree they could offer housekeeping for an extra Charger. Three days with one very small body and hand towell sounds a little hursh. The same goes to the extra work of clasifying your rubish and take it, personally, to the property largue bins. Wifi us terrible, they got it a little better the last day and as a courtesy allow me to keep working till 12, check out time. May be there are new owners, because I was toldo but another guest who have been there a few years ago that they were welcomed by homemade cake. Not for me, just:" You can drinks the water from the faucet", after waiting under the elements on a chilly, rainny, Sunday. Would not come back, despiste I tour Tuscany and Umbria 3 or 4 months a year and gladly return to welcoming places.

Wir haben zwei Wochen in der Toskana verbracht. Eine davon in der Sarna Residence. Die Umgebung ist magisch und möchten die südliche Toskana in jedem Fall dem Chianti Classico vorziehen. Die Sarna Unterkunft ist typisch toskanisch ohne viel Schnörkel gehalten. Wir hatten eine Einzimmerwohnung und hätten uns mehr Sonnenlicht gewünscht. Die Räume wirkten doch sehr dunkel. Bei einem Gebäude aus dem 18. Jhd aber nicht wirklich umsetzbar. Unsere Empfehlung hier doch mit mehr Lichtakzenten zu arbeiten. Die Außenanlage nebst Pool ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Definitiv ein Platz zum Wohlfühlen und zum entspannen. Man merkt direkt, dass den Inhabern am Herzen liegt, dass sich die Gäste wohl fühlen. So wurden wir freundlich empfangen und stets gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Wir hatten eine tolle Woche und sagen Danke:-)

Lovely spot, want to come back!

Beautiful, charming inn, within short walking distance from the walled city. Suites are very spacious and cozy. Service, although limited, is very friendly and efficient. Gaia was a tremendous guide and made me feel like family, even though I was there for one night. Very recommended as a base for the Val D’Orcia/Montalcino region. Free and plentiful parking!

Great stay at Sarna Residence

We had a great stay in a beautiful rustic barn-style building. It was spacious and comfortable and clean. Gaia's recommendations really made it special though - she recommended two amazing restaurants and organised us a fantastic complimentary wine tour.

Experiencia toscana

El alojamiento te hace sentir una experiencia clásica de la toscana. La anfitriona Gaia es muy amable y fue muy accesible para el late check-in. Lo único que no nos gustó fue que la cama estaba muy dura, no fue cómoda para dormir. Pero el resto de la habitación es muy agradable, con muebles y detalles rústicos y encantadores. La habitación cuenta con cocineta, mini refrigerador y la vajilla necesaria.

Uma excelente experiência!

A responsável foi extremamente atenciosa conosco. Chegamos muito tarde na hospedagem e, ainda assim, encontramos um recado com todas as instruções para uma noite tranquila. O quarto encontrava-se muito limpo e conta com uma pequena cozinha, já o café da manhã tomamos dentro das muralhas da cidade que, aliás, surpreendeu positivamente e é bem central para rodar de carro pela Toscana. Enfim, foi uma excelente estadia.
